Damn shame how Rat Queens died soon as the brotha caught the domestic abuse case. Finishing the last story arc he was a part of was ok, even with the fill-in artist at the end, but after that the quality of story telling just fell the fukk off. Or maybe the art was no longer there to keep things afloat/compensate, idk. But before that book had won some award for best brand new book, and they were even talkin about makin it into a animated show... it had the juice.

And now the magic is gone.

Recently it was announced by co-creator Kurtis Weibe that Rat Queens was being put on hiatus as a series. There had been troubles since it was discovered that the co-creator, Roc Upchurch, had been arrested on charges of domestic abuse. While there was no prosecution by the courts, Upchurch admitted to being involved to Bleeding Cool. Upchurch left the book as a result and was eventually replaced with artist Tess Fowler. But that ended with controversy.
