00000000000000000000000000003669:dahell: Justice League 3001 (EDIT: I mesnt 3000, buy, its 3001, now.) kinda dope.

I didn't like the penciling in 7, but, the art is usually A-1. But, I'm liking the story.

:stopitslime: at Storm's hypocrisy. She wanna make Cyclops the villain, then proceed to pretty much make the same statement Cyclops made that would supposedly make mutants an enemy to humans and would kick-off a mutant/human war.

Cyclops has never talked like that in his life...Polaris has..Exodus have..Cyclops? LMAO. Bendis is a trip:laugh:

And everything is all flipped up..Storm was always the one with regal rebellious streak. Cyclops and Jean were the boy and girl scouts. This $hit is absurd.

Came from a local con and came up on a grip of number 1s and 2s in the 50 cent bin. :wow:

Also got my hands on the majority of the X-Force run with Wolvie, Wolfsbane, X-23 and Warpath in the bin, too. I'm only missing ish 12. I know it ends at 28, but I was looking online and those issues are tied to crossovers. Meh.

Behind You
DC Reviving Classic Hanna-Barbera Cartoons In Comic Book Form

Childhood Saturday mornings are getting a reboot.

DC Entertainment has announced (via Entertainment Weekly) that it will launch four new comic book series based on Hanna Barbera animated properties of yore, including The Flintstones and Scooby Doo. Each of the four series will be updated and revised for a new audience, with some surprising results.

The four new series will be:

SCOOBY APOCALYPSE
PatWI2U.jpg

Co-written by Keith Giffen and DC Entertainment co-publisher Jim Lee, with art by Howard Porter.
As the result of an experiment gone wrong, Scooby and the gang will have to deal with a world where monsters are real, thanks to a nanite virus that is slowly transforming the world into a far stranger place.

THE FLINTSTONES

Written by Mark Russell with character designs by Amanda Conner.
Taking the concept back to its roots, Flintstones will be a satirical sitcom that uses the stone age to parody and comment upon the modern world.

WACKY RACE LAND
TnGbldQ.jpg

Written by Ken Pontac, with art by Leonardo Manco and designs by Mad Max Fury Road's Mark Sexton.
Taking the original madcap race series in an unexpected new direction, transforming the series into a literal race across a post apocalyptic wasteland in search for a promised utopia at the finish line. Oh, yeah; and the vehicles can think for themselves, this time around.

FUTURE QUEST

Written by Jeff Parker and illustrated by Evan "Doc" Shaner.
Combining Jonny Quest, Space Ghost and Birdman, the series will mix and match the various "adventure" heroes of Hanna Barbera's output in a new shared universe.

"I can’t think of anyone that doesn’t look back at these characters with anything but fond memories," DC Entertainment co-publisher Dan Didio said in a statement accompanying the news. "With this initial lineup of titles and talent, we’re excited for fans to experience the reimagining of these Saturday morning classics with a more modern and contemporary look and feel."

All four new series will launch in May.
