Behind You
MARVEL
Secret Wars #8 - Best part of this issue: Thanos talking all that shyt to Doom about how he wielded the power of the Infinity Gauntlet like a true God while Doom is a pretender and then Doom asks him "Do you have an Infinity Gauntlet now?" right before ripping Thanos skeleton out Mortal Kombat Fatality style.:mjlol:

Uncanny Avengers #3 - Why exactly is so much focus of this book being placed on Synapse? If Marvel wanted to add an Inhuman too this book then using one that doesn't suck and actually has a fan base might have been a better idea. maybe instead of giving Crystal her own book they could have moved her over to Uncanny Avengers. That way you get a character with history who doesn't suck who also would hhave some really cool interaction with her ex-husband Quicksilver. As it stands this book is just all sorts of meh.

Ultimates #2 - this reads like the stuff Ellis and to a lesser extent Millar did when they were writing The Authority only it isn't full of bloody violence. I am really gonna need Ewing to do something about that because just a bunch of uber-powerful heroes doing amazing shyt is gonna get old really quick.
I am curious to see how them changing Galactus' fundamental being is going to come back to bite them in the ass. Galactus is a universal constant and the universe requires him to do what he has always done in order for things not to go t*ts up.

Scarlet Witch #1 - I liked some aspects of this book: the dark moody art (even though Wanda's costume design looks awful); making Wanda more magic focused; adding Agatha Harkness' ghost as Wanda's confidante. But something about the book just felt hollow. I have not really been digging anything Jmes Robinson has written since coming back to Marvel.

Hercules #2 - This is a cool book that I doubt anyone is reading and will likely end up being cancelled before it gets to issue #10. Bummer.

The Walking Dead #149 - more of Kirkman dragging out a 5-part story to last 15 fukking issues.

DC
Robin War - The Grayson issue was cool as we got to see each of the Robin's differing training style and how they each chose an "apprentice" that reminded them of themselves. And the way dikk double-crossed them as part of his master plan was cool. Still not sure where they are going with the Owls involvement. I know they once upon a time wanted dikk Grayson to be one of the Talons but I didn't think they would be so obsessive about it.

New Suicide Squad #15 - I really want to like this book but nothing about it is really all that special. The writing is pedestrian and the art is middling. They really need to hand the reigns over to someone like Gail Simone or John Ostrander or if they want to shake things up maybe get Garth Ennis on writing duties for a stretch. But something needs to be done especially if they want to try and capitalize on the movie next year.

Starfire #7 was fun. I have been curious to see some extended interaction between Starfire and dikk Grayson since they have kept insisting that the two of them were lovers/in love in the New 52. This issue was a good start and hopefully next issue goes into more detail of just how the two of them got along.
Its also cool how this issue showed that Starfire basically has the thought process of a dolphin. Makes her oddness even more interesting.

Earth 2: Society #7 - I have been enjoying this book but thought they wrapped up the whole Evil Jimmy Olsen thing way too easily. I am glad that the Justice Society seems to have been re-formed and this can start being a team book again.
