It's still very early but I'll say this: the type of push T'Challa is getting as a black Afrikan king superhero... Sam Wilson is lowkey getting as a black American male superhero.
  • He's humble, witty and very formidable in this solo book.
  • He's likely leading the ANAD Avengers, the staple book.
  • He's got Misty Knight out here choosin
  • He apparently will have Jane Foster Thor out here choosin
  • He was front and center with Iron Man in that Civil War 2 equal they might be making
  • And looks like they giving him at least a drone upgrade for redwing in the movie.
Again, all still very early and could all end up bein a ruse but i'm peepin what they doin for breh.
He's going to lose all of that once Steve comes back lol

That's why I think this whole diversity thing Marvel are doing is going to backfire

Everyone know's things will revert to "status quo"... you might get a few years out of whatever..

Just enjoy the ride :yeshrug:
Yup. And once Steve comes back, they're just gonna get rid of his ass again, and ppl will cry and whine... again.

I remember the whole Peter Parker love interest stuff, MJ fans furious but Gwen fans rolling they eyes like, "been there, done that."

I dont want to live happily ever after with these characters lol, just have my moments with em and be at peace with it.

These characters will out live me and any selfishness i have

Captain Marvel being on this team is still an issue for me. They could have added another black or latino character or use Sunfire...he's a minority and was part of the Avengers already.
My ideal pick would have been Storm just for the tension it would have created between her and T'Challa.
I really wanted a team with no white people at all.

All non-white team book? in the Big 2? :patrice:Has it even happened before?

We almost got an all-black Justice League. *pours out some for McDuffie*

They're making a Civil War 2?
This was what caused the speculation, a couple weeks back:

Looks Like Marvel Is Teasing A Second Civil War Comics Event

The news comes not direct from Marvel itself, but a tweet from comic book store retailer Ryan Higgins, who posted two pictures of a postcard sent out to retailers from Marvel themselves: on one side, a picture of Iron Man as he appears in the upcoming Invincible Iron Man slugging it out with current Captain America Sam Wilson. On the other, nothing but a simple Roman numeral for II, done in the font used for the Civil War comic arc, and a tentative “Spring 2016” release date.

Word, just enjoy the stories, get the volumes of the story arcs you like, and hope to god the characters don't get trashed by the movies and subsequent comic book writers.

Beyond that....:francis:

Is this really necessary? I mean, if it's like the Secret Wars: Civil War then I'm all for it, but I doubt it. There's definitely room for improvement on the original, but I can't see how they do that storyline again without having the heroes act out of character unnecessarily. Especially with the original being pretty fresh
