I'd disagree no BP fans read the comic for storm. And no Storm didn't gain it any new fans. One could say the success of Storm is how Black Panther even gained legs in the industry but it is what it is

Ultimate BP is pretty good. The main book ended. But i heard there is finally a decent black panther writer on board..we'll see what manifests out of that.
That's not it. I'm talking about as far as black heroes. She's a icon and really didn't mean anything until a Fantastic Four animated appearance where he outsmarted them. These days people kind of see him as a Marvel version of Batman except he's a king.I'd disagree no BP fans read the comic for storm. And no Storm didn't gain it any new fans.
The Black Panther comic was featured in Do The Right thing before she was ever considered there. So again I disagree. That's not it. I'm talking about as far as black heroes. Nah...that wouldnt have advanced his popularity. Lol. But good find. The Black Panther comic was featured in Do The Right thing before she was ever considered there. So again I disagree.
I don't understand what you mean by popularity. With whom? Fans? Black Panther was selling at a time when X-Men was trash.Nah...that wouldnt have advanced his popularity. Lol. But good find.
Me too. I had been meaning to check it out anyway but I'll definitely see if i can grab the back issues next time I go to the comic shop.I don't know if you meant to but you just sold me on this book.
I'm a Black Panther fan. We don't fukk with Storm on this side anymore
Uhh, breh....I think you are about to drop Ultimate Black Panther in 1-3 issues if Storm is that much of a make or break deal with a comic book issue #2 literally foretold they are gonna end up togetherUltimate BP is pretty good. The main book ended.
Black panther has never ever outsold the x men. In any decade. The only reason Marvel became a powerhouse is because of Spider Man and the X Men. And Storm's popularity as a African hero definitely stood out more than any character of color in any company.I don't understand what you mean by popularity. With whom? Fans? Black Panther was selling at a time when X-Men was trash.
I thought this was one of Gillen's worst issues since he rejoined the X-Line. This whole thing is shifting from "I have my own pitch and I'll make it integrate to what Hickman started" to Hickman cosplay of sci fi mumbo jumbo to explain how shyt is different now. Like most of this "event" it feels rushed and all over the place, and this time around Gillen's craftsmanship couldn't save the issue like in other times.Rise of Powers of X #3 that ending
It will be an 8 issue mini-series from my understanding. So the final issue should be out in May.I'm bummed G.O.D.S. is going on indefinite hiatus (probably because no one gave a fukk and had awful sale numbers, lol). The last issue felt like something that would've happened in 5-7 issues down the line and could've had emotional weight behind it. But because they are wrapping shyt up it was just an interesting "twist", so to speak.
G.O.D.S. got canceled over poor sales and they tried to save face, basically. Marvel literally said "it's over... for now" but I don't see people caring about it enough for it to comeback eventually. It's not like his S.H.I.E.L.D. mini were it was clearly a short story with a clear ending. GODS was way more ambitious and long term but no one cared. It will be an 8 issue mini-series from my understanding. So the final issue should be out in May.
I read anything Hickman, so I was onboard with this but I could tell that there isn't much of an audience for it.
