Nah, he's always been linked to a carousel of chicks depending on how editorial feels.

Mystique, dominoe, viper, black cat, squirrel girl :heh:, and then every other chick if we're talking other timelines, from sue storm to psylocke.

They never seriously gave a crap about pairing him with Storm until Hudlin shytted on Wolverine in that BP crossover 13 years ago. That's where their pettiness came from

I was agreeing lol...just named the X-Girls. But you're right with them amping up the Storm ish. But they were linked in alternate future timelines.

Honestly, I don't know if I dislike Storm with Wolverine or Black Panther more. I say just put her back with Forge.

shyt my bad lol. I read it wrong :snoop:

I just don't like Storm as a character. Feels like black writers want to write her a certain way but x-writers want to write her a different way, and so there's inconsistency. i.e. she's always welcomed in BP's book (black writers) and gets to look strong but BP and his cast are rarely in her book or mentioned by her unless they getting smacked away like mosquitos in whatever issue of x-men red.

I wish these black writers (who aren't really comic book writers) were more aware of other black comic book females so that they didn't just run to the same ol lazy choice everytime.

What you said in the bold is why I wish the black writers who write about Black Panther and the characters surrounding him would stop writing storm in anything relate to Black Panther and Wakanda because the X-Men writers do not return the sentiment. If they want use a black woman that a superhero in their story they should use Monica Rambeau .

Coates leveled up on Black Panther

Magic Order still reads like a movie pitch with nice art

I tried the new Teen Titans but the art sucks

Venom is still great

Amazing Spider-Man #5 was the weakest issue

Avengers is okay but it needs better art for the story Aaron is trying to tell and dumb She-Hulk is annoying

Exactly.

Monica Rambeau, one of the past black panther females from the past, or just exercise their title as creators and create a new friggin character lol. They easily could've made Zenzi a sympathetic villain/anti-hero with how they first introduced her backstory, but they botched it.

And to your point on Storm, another example of the one-sided treatment is that Shuri solo coming out; the solicits say that it's essentially Shuri and Storm going on a mission... well when in the blue hell as Shuri EVER appeared in an x-men book to help out Storm or be a major player, or even chat it up with her? You'd never think they even knew each other, much less were former sister-in-laws.

And i also think the Avengers art is pretty bad. It got pretty sloppy during the celestial fights.. like silly robots on page.

I think he needs a better artist and should focus more on characterization (outside of the big 3) than just throwing together another doomsday world is ending plot. We've gotten our fill of those

Al Ewing is writing a 5 issue OG Defenders reunion book.

DEFENDERS: THE BEST DEFENSE

With Luke Cage, Jessica Jones and Iron Fist busy as part of the publisher’s Digital Originals line, Marvel’s original Defenders are being revived for a new comic book event this December. It's titled The Best Defense.

Spread across five special issues, The Best Defense will feature the original comic book membership of the Defenders — the Hulk, the Silver Surfer, Namor the Sub-Mariner and Doctor Strange — in one-off issues featuring all-new stories, alongside a fifth release titled The Defenders: The Best Defense. Marvel is describing the five titles as “interconnected specials that tell a unique and captivating story for each original Defender.”

Both the Immortal Hulk: The Best Defense and the Defenders issue will be written by regular Hulk writer Al Ewing, with art by Simone Di Meo on Hulk and Joe Bennett on Defenders; Namor: The Best Defense will be by Chip Zdarsky and Carlos Magno, with Doctor Strange: The Best Defense by Gerry Duggan and Greg Smallwood. Jason Latour will both write and illustrate Silver Surfer: The Best Defense.

I like McGuinness as an artist but the dude they have inking his stuff on this book (Mark Morales) isn't doing much to enhance McGuinness' art. Dexter Vines was the perfect inker for McGuinness. And Paco Medina's pages in this latest issue were trash.

But my biggest problem with Avengers is Jason Aaron's obsession with the Prehistoric Avengers, a concept I never gave a damn about but this entire booked is being built around.

Skyward is a dope ass book but my one complain is that the artist can't draw black people

The black characters just look like different color white people features wise
