man went to amsterdam a few weeks ago and even tho it's only a few hours driving from Belgium that city is THE shiiiit.

Really had a good time, went with the GF to the red light district ... fam if you want to experience it while it's still kind of good now is the time!

The are "purifying" the whole place for reconstruction and so many window hoes have left since I went 2 years ago it's painful to see.

My GF was like "where the hoes at?":dwillhuh:

Just got fingerprinted for my Known Traveler Number. fukk those long ass airport lines:blessed: (whenever the pre-check lines are open)

Did you get global entry? It's worth it. No more long ass border control lines whenever I get back to NY. :blessed:

mambo vipi? i've been here on vacation about three years ago. man, top five places i've ever been, easily

playing soccer with locals on the beach :blessed:

cheap, freshly caught seafood by the pier :blessed:

stone town... swahili culture :blessed:

the hospitality :blessed:

the entire swahili coast is just... :banderas:

i need to buy property along there at some point.

you should visit pemba island as well since you're in the area. it's not as vibrant as zanzibar, but very low-key.

That hotel was in Jambiani, I think one of the tours I did went to Pemba island.. I didn't check out stone town as I was going for the chill beach vacation but will go back to check it out and possibly do a safari..

Was in Cali 2 weeks ago

Cali is dope place brehs, i know it aint exotic but its very different to a southern breh like myself. I have passed thru once before but it was my 1st time really exploring the city. Shawty i was with has a friend out there so i had a mini tour guide too. Moreso than anything else the vibe out there is just :ahh: The people are very friendly, (kinda similar to "southern hospitality"), the women :lawd: and the weather :whoo:. Going back in Dec, and thinking about moving out there. Pics below

Star Ships: New Sciences Cruises Offer Pristine Cosmic Views

Star Ships: New Sciences Cruises Offer Pristine Cosmic Views

stargazing-with-discovery-sea.jpg

If a cruise vacation is your cup of tea, why not add som science to your trip? Princess Cruises and Discovery Channel have paired up to make science-themed cruises called Discovery at Sea that include activities like stargazing from locations on the open ocean, far from city lights.

Viewing the night sky from a location far away from city lights can be a magical experience, but it usually requires traveling to very remote locations (which, for some people, is part of the fun). But stargazing on a cruise ship is unique, because the vessel can travel to locations completely devoid of light pollution, and yet viewers are never more than a few steps away from the ship's accommodations. [Stargazing Tips for Amateur Astronomers]

The stargazing sessions are held on "sea nights" when the ship is far from a port. An onboard "Stargazing Specialist" leads the sessions, pointing out constellations and cosmic phenomena, and answering questions.

The program was made in part with astrophysicist Hakeem Oluseyi, an associate professor of physics at the Florida Institute of Technology and a visiting professor of physics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Oluseyi hosts Science Channel's "Outrageous Acts of Science" TV show.

For the cruise program, he helped develop the "tour of the sky" that is presented to passengers, he told Space.com. In addition, he recorded a series of exclusive video talks about various astrophysics topics that are available for passengers to watch in their rooms.

At a promotional event for the new cruise line held in New York City, Oluseyi told Space.com that a cruise provided the opportunity to see parts of the sky or cosmic features that might not be visible from the passenger's home location. This includes auroras, which are sometimes visible from the Alaska tours.

"The other thing you can get from a cruise is access to both hemispheres," Oluseyi told Space.com. "The night sky is amazing no matter where you are in the world, but what's really cool is that it changes from place to place."

In the Southern Hemisphere, the band of the Milky Way is straight overhead, rather than slightly off to the side, as it is in the Northern Hemisphere. So viewers from the northern half of the world can see "star clusters and nebula that you wouldn't normally be able to see," he said.

Stargazing nights are available on all Discovery at Sea cruises. More information is available at the program's website.
