How about some travel spots for couples?

I'm thinking of going to Aruba, but I'd like to hear some recommendations.

Any beach spot for a couple is romantic. The most romantic place I ever been to is morocco, the whole arabian nights aladdin vibe going on there.

Well, I didn't go there for tourism, all I can talk to you about is the girls and the clubs. Limon has a straight up Jamaican, Caribbean vibe, as opposed to the majority of central America, which is mostly cholos (think Mexicans and Kumbia and wack azz ranchero music and short, stocky b*tches with no azz and plenty belly). A lot of nice thick plump mixed b*tches in Limon, tending towards the shade of brown and caramel similar to Brazil, Panama, Colombia, etc. I picked one up who worked at "Gol" (an electronics store) in central Limon right by the beach. :smugdraper: What I do recommend though is renting a car or motorcycle and drive down to the Cahuita/Puerto Viejo area. If you've watched Entourage, after Vince's Colombian movie goes to sh*t, he takes a break at some hideaway spot in Mexico. Honestly, I shouldn't be telling you about this, but since I got like a dozen of these spots, and already been there done that, I'm letting you know. Yo, it's hard to leave that place on the real. You can get these phat chicken kabobs for like 100 colones (500 colones is 1 dollar :win:), but most importantly breh, is that weed :ahh: So much cheap weed it's ridiculous. Down there they have it all, they got the white hippie euro chicks for the c00ns (and they all have lovely tan lines :win:), got the mixed chicks, got the sistas. Clubs are straight dancehall, reggae, reggaeton, and not touristy, a real bohemian vibe. Then of course, you can also surf/scuba dive, which is the big thing there. The only thing about it is that it can get muggy in the summers during the day, but that's what the beach is for. To get to Limon from San Jose, you got to drive like 5 hours in these treacherous azz mountains (almost as bad as the drive from Bogota to Cali) but it's totally worth it, it's like discovering a new world once you cross them mountains. They don't direct most tourists there, because of the weed and the large amount of ethnic people IMO, most of the tourists go northwest up to Tamarindo beach and that area. Definitely, if you in Costa Rica, go to Puerto Viejo/Cahuita, get you some crab, some weed, some chicken kabob, some rum, and a nice mixed chick and enjoy life B :smugdraper: Puerto Viejo is a really "in the know" kind of place, that's why it's dope IMHO. Not too crowded, not too dangerous, mad chill.

First off props to you for wanting to travel B, you should definitely do it, regardless of my recommendation, even if it's only to wack azz San Jose. In regards to your questions:

1) Limon is like the city, and Puerto Viejo and Cahuita are like the spots. Limon has a beach too, you can hang out just in Limon and have a good azz time. It really depends, if you are strictly an urban person, stay in Limon. But my G, my heart is in Puerto Viejo, that is one of the chillest spots on earth my ninja. The whole coast line is cool, but I have been to Cahuita personally, that's why I recommended it as well. Cahuita is really a small town, think of Portmore if you're Jamaican, it's very similar. Smaller, slower vibe, but what's nice is it's right by the beach, there are girls, and the food is cheap, healthy and excellent. I would spend at least one day in all 3 places, and just camp out in whichever one you like best.

2) Wherever you go somewhere, if you don't at least make an attempt to have some basic knowledge of the local language, you are missing out on life. It's tough to pickup chicks when you can't communicate, and especially if you're American, it usually ends up being some sort of transaction :snoop:. Learn Spanish B, can pick up the local chicks, save money, and have an enhanced experience. At least the basics, if the chicks see you are trying, it turns 'em on, one of the easiest way to pickup chicks is to be lookin' like you are trying to learn the language, chicks love teachin' a brother :smugdraper:

3) My nig, I hate to say it, but if you can only travel for a weekend, stay in Miami. If you are going out of the country, and can't stay for at least two weeks, it's not even worth it. Especially in the Limon area, it rains a lot. I don't know how you can make it happen, but you gotta get at least two weeks. If you just goin' for the weekend, it will be hard to pick up a decent chick, you might as well just pay for the hoes.

4) People smoke weed in public, and the majority of the population in Limon/Cahuita/Puerto Viejo is ethnic, nobody's messing with you. But since you Jamaican, you know how the rudebwois are, a lot of the black ancestry is from Jamaicans who migrated to work there, don't disrespect people, you might get shot.

Whatever you do, if there is one thing I can't make clear enough, you need to get more time, it's a waste to travel for just a weekend.

1) good look fam, Ima do some research. I was gonna just book a ticket and go in 3 weeks, but I might have push it back

2) Man in HS i knew spanish fluently. I'm 29 now tho so my spanish is :flabbynsick:. That shyt came naturally to me though, so i'm guessing I can pick it up pretty quick.

3) :to: word? damn b. i just hate being away from mi yard for that long. I've learned 4 days is my limit man. After that I'm ready to bounce. I might make an exception though, but it won't be until after July (work shyt). And I been to Miami twice, shyt was fun, but I need some stamps in my passport b. And negative on paying for ass. Never done it a day in my life, and I'm not gonna start now.

4) i'm going there to chill and show love to the island people, I'm sure ain't no one gonna mess with me. I just hate police.

I know you said 3-4 days ain't even worth it, but Ima take a chance and see what happen. Flight and hotel is a g, 500 so misc expenses (aka alcohol) and see what I can get popping.

Preciate the knowledge tho.

I'm thinking when I do go, Ima bring some friends and rent this bytch out

Bahía Herradura Herradura Bay Fantastic Vacation Getaway - Villa Firenze

10k sq feet, 5br/5ba, pool, bbq. shyt would cray!

Love traveling, alone or with others.

I've been to - Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, all of Western and Central Europe, Russia (Moscow to Vladivostok by train), Egypt, Sudan, Jordan, Oman, Saudi Arabia, China (and Tibet), Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand.

Questions? Ask.

how is it that you traveled to all these places? what location were you most surprised by? what spot didn't meet your expectations? which locations were your most and least favorite and why?

I'm lucky enough to be reasonably well-off in terms of money and what I do for a living affords me a lot of travel opportunity, as well as long stretches of free time (to travel more).

What places surprised me the most? Tough one, so I'll touch on a few areas. China, Beijing in particular. In North America and Europe people have this pretty narrow view of how Asians are supposed to act - namely submissive, polite, whatever. This goes out the fukking window in Beijing. It's swarm upon swarm of rowdy, rude, and pushy people (literally). Subways in Beijing in the summer are insane. You can literally be swept along if you aren't careful. Waiting in line for something? There are no lines. Just pushing and shoving to get to the front, lol. Concern for the common stranger? fukk no. I saw this older guy have some sort of seizure, he fell and hit his head on the sidewalk, and people just gathered around to stare. No one made a move to help, call for assistance, anything. People just laughed. That was odd. The culture shock, honestly, was really jarring. Sometimes I felt like I was on a different planet. I didn't expect it to that extent. Good luck finding people/non-tourists outside of your hotel/tour groups/whatever that speak English, lol. Oh, also the amount of con artists running around was off-putting.

Another place that surprised me was Cambodia. Just the abject poverty, man. Especially if you're like me and don't really fukk with the guided tours and venture out on your own. You can see some real squalor. I met this one Scottish guy over there who seemed on the level and we ended up hitting various bars. We found this one really sketchy place; soon as we got inside, this enormously fat American approaches us and starts suggesting we see what sort of "merchandise" they had in the back, etc. Turns out to be a bunch of child prostitutes - ten and eleven, younger. fukking disgusting man. I felt sick to my stomach.

What place didn't live up to expectations? Malaysia, easily. That place is unequivocally a shythole. Just dilapidated architecture for the most part, rundown people, disgusting beaches. Having said that, the food was good, lol. Particularly the outdoor hawker centers. Really cheap.

Egypt is one of my favourite places I've been. I'm somewhat partial to places with rich history and that place is it. I went from Alexandria in the north, stopping in Cairo, down to Luxor and Aswan by train. Saw all those sites you see in documentaries. Crazy to actually be climbing up into the Great Pyramid in sweltering heat, hunched over and slowly moving up the shaft, lol. The food was okay and you've gotta have thick skin because all those scammers and beggars can get on your nerves. People expect a tip ("baksheesh") for everything. Someone points you in the right direction to go somewhere and they'll have their hand out a second later, heh. Just annoying but you can laugh about it too. Either way, I'd recommend it, Cairo is hot and filthy but it's got a great vibe, I've gotta say. The city doesn't sleep ever. 4AM and the streets will be crowded and noisy still.

Least favourite place? Malaysia, again. For the aforementioned reasons.
