Primarily because of the group size & age. It’ll most likely be over 14 of us. And the age range is from 10 to 67. And a 2 year old.

Everyone finances are different. And the resort just simplifies things, if certain people don’t wanna do x y or z, they can just chill and enjoy the resort.
Yup. I've done family trips were we got one of huge houses that holds 15+ people. Made it awkward when the older members didn't want to go somewhere cause you still got to worry about feeding them and not wanting them to be too bored. At a resort even if they stay back they have full access to food, drinks, can chill on the beach or chill together in one of the lounge areas and play cards or something while not feeling stuck in a house.

Why resorts? I never got the hype and this is coming from someone who travels internationally 2-3x a year.
My moms is Panamanian so I got family there…never have to pay for a place to stay or food so I can’t give you a straight answer.

I’ll tell you this…if you stay away from the tourist spots in Panama City your dollars will go really far
Brooooo. I'm going to Panama City in June for my birthday. Staying in El Cangrejo. Can you put me on with stuff to do? All I know is Casco Viejo, seeing the canal and Isla Taboga lol. Where the good food, the nightlife & the girls at?

Went on a 2 week mini EU tour: 5 countries in 2 weeks, mad cities and fam in between.

AMS (had never been before)- Dutch women look sexy as a muthafukka. I'm talking from the customs agents at Schiphol to the coffee shop joint. They're fine! I don't even PAWG but seeing all the talent in Amsterdam had me open.
The other cultural sights were dope too. I only did the cliche coffee shop once, the tourist trap by Centraal station. It's gentrified now, glory days are gone.
Cold as shyt and the time diff fukked me up on arrival. Took the intercity from the airport to Johan Cruyff arena, my telly's part of the stadium complex. But it was 7 AM and pitch black. WTF? the oracle let me know the sun rises at 9 am and sets at 4 pm...no wonder these people are depressed.
Actually fukk that, they got the bike culture on point. As a biker AMS is a dream come true. We're light years away, as usual.

Took a day guided tour to The Hague and Rotterdam. Both had the heavy cac supremacy vibe, way more than AMS. They flaunt their colonial history and glory in your face like so what? FOH.

More AMS- Heineken Experience is dope if you're into beer. I walked out sauced. Didn't even have time to hit the red light, but coming back in summer. This Euro winter shyt is for the birds

Next stop Belgium.

Next I took the EuroStar from AMS right before the UK collapse to Antwerp for another day trip. Mad underrated for history and colonial bragging. Guess I ended up in the hipster area next to Grokt Market peep the De La cassettes (10 Euros each). Chocolate Nation (museum) is for the true heads. As for the talent they were all bundled up, cold as shyt in Belgium.

Where are you flying from? I’m seeing LAX to RIO during carnival round trip for 1000 on kayak.

I just went to Carnival in Rio, it was life changing :wow:

If you don’t speak Portuguese...I’d say maybe go to Rio. More English speaking people.

If you plan on bringing back some cariocas to your room, don’t stay in a hotel. Most don’t allow visitors. Get an
Airbnb...I don’t know how but I got an oceanfront 2 bedroom in Copa for $60/night. I got it last min, may have been a cancellation.
Going you Rio this week for carnival, any tips suggestions my stay is far unfortunately. My boy is at recreio

- Here is a list of block parties ( or blocos), definitely go to the ipanema one on Saturday, any bloco in Lapa, centro or Copa. Open the link in chrome and translate the website to English. Agenda dos Blocos de Rua do Rio de Janeiro em 2024 - Diário do Rio de Janeiro

- go to a samba parade at the sambadromo. it can be pricey but it’s worth it. One of the most impressive spectacles you’ll ever see.

To keep it a buck, ain’t really much to do in Panama City. You can do all the things you just mentioned in 2-3 days. If you want international girls on hit the clubs in Casco. Tons of women from all over Latin America who come to Panama for work and school. You got the European PAWG backpackers down there too, if you into that :mjpls:

If you want Panamanian women I suggest going to bars/clubs in the areas that locals frequent

I don’t know how long you staying but if you have the time I highly recommend hitting Colon province ( Afro Caribbean culture out there) or traveling a few hours outside of Panama City to the mountains. Beautiful hiking, waterfalls, coffee plantations, beaches If you’re into those things

It’s home. That’s were my peoples at, my childhood memories, and heart.

I’ll update you with where to stay and party later on, but overall it’s a sleepy little town.

10K people who are just trying to live. If you arent a teacher, policeman, BDF or work for the town, you got to get it how you can.

Low crime, no real petty crime, friendly people and a mix of everything Belize has. You can go to the cayes to snorkel and fish. Go to big falls which is our local river. See how chocolate is made and see drummers drum. We have a few Mayan ruins pretty close by as well.

Outside of that, there isn’t much to do. The women are pretty friendly and can be down to chill. I can put you on to some of my cousins who can show you a good time.

Not too many tourists so you won’t bump into the snow bunnies. A lot of boxy Mayans, Guatemalans and Mexicans. A few coolies. A lot of Garifunas, but you will be coming for the town of them.

Overall, I’d say it cool for 3 nights max but anything more than that is overkill. I think you already have your Belizean stamp. Maybe do two nights there then fly to Placencia for two night up there instead of staying in PG the whole time.

I think the boat ride is 45 minutes so you could probably just do a two nighter and head back to Livingston.

Let me know if you have any questions. I still need to visit Livingston. Probably try to make a trip when I go to Belize in July.

I’m out here in Okinawa right now. Normally I stay near the base. Rarely out at night though.

Now I’m staying downtown Naha. It’s cool. I’m looking for some food now. It’s 1245am.

I’m on google looking up restaurants and found one open until 130. I get there and dude gave me the X sign with his arms talking about they are closed.
:childplease:
Cool. Whatever. He gave me a card. I look at the card and they close at midnight. Thanks google.
:pacspit:
Thinking about hitting a bar up. Japanese people love karaoke.
:russ:
There are “girls” bar. I don’t know what that means.
:patrice:
I know I’m hungry though.

What’s up fam?

Hopkins is straight Garifuna. Belmopan is nice. Probably the best women in Belize. Good mix of everything. San Ignacio is a more rural Belmopan. I’ve never been though. It’s not too far from Belmopan so it might be a cool spot to day trip.

Make sure you hit the Mayan ruins. You can actually walk/hike up them. I think they stopped allowing tourists to do that in Mexico. Either way, since you are thinking about Cato, it’s well worth it.
