I'm not mad at the backpack idea :ehh: but any particular reason you want to hit a country a day? Seems like between sleeping and getting to/from/being at the airport there wouldn't be a ton of free time?

That’s why I loved the two European cruises I’ve done. Got a good taste of a bunch of different countries without a bunch of flights or worrying about carrying around bags at each spot.

In Barcelona when the cruise ended, we took a cab to our apartment. Roads were closed for a marathon. We had to carry our bags three miles to get to the hotel. Same in Venice to get to our place there.

Definitely be careful of pickpockets. I wore shorts where I could zip or button everything up. Neither me nor the two girls I was with got got but that was the same warnings I got.

We stayed at Hostal Goya. It was a two bedroom apartment. It was a great location. A few blocks from Las Ramblas but not close enough to be too in the middle of foot traffic.

So finally gonna take a break and hit up Europe. So far, the agenda is Amsterdam for the first weekend, Munich second weekend, catch the train from Munich to Lauterbrunnen, Amalfi Coast/Naples, and Seville/Gibraltar. I'll be there for close to 90 days so no rush. Fly back stateside for a week then try to squeeze in a trip to Mauritius but my girl out in DC trying to talk me into going to Cape Verde

Anyone been to Europe (particularly Germany) lately? Does DB now have a non subscription card or did y’all use the 49€ ticket?

Just finalized plans for Vail Colorado in 2 weeks, Waikiki & the Big Island in February. I got a Hilton Amex card recently, so I’m using the promo points & points I’m earning on the Colorado trip to pay for the hotel in Waikiki.

I haven’t snowboarded since ‘19 and always wanted to visit and board in Colorado.
