I've been there as well (KL specifically). Stayed in Bukit Bintag. Pretty dope spot. Good nightlife with bars and restaurants. Def gonna check it out again.

Where can I go for a relatively cheap, quick 5 day trip in March? I got vacation time to burn 
I'll put my SA trip on hold till September. Gonna save Nigeria and Ghana for December as well. Brazil and Colombia probably gonna be 2020. I did Europe last summer so I'm good on that.

I went to a mostly tourist island ... the Portuguese influence is still present due to proximity and colonial ties
but the distinct Kriolu culture is by far the most dominant with a few brazilian elements mixed in.
I actually missed out on a "roda de samba" in the city nearby because this chick forgot to invite me
There are many Ginuea Bissau and Senegalese people there and they sort of are the underclass
like one breh who sold me a necklace. He spoke perfect english during the day ....come to find out...
he's a homeless drug addict when I smelt medicine on him at night
One thing that didn't sit well with me was the Chinese presence there...some actually followed
me around the store and I put them on blast for not following all the Eurocacs in there.
I switched up and shopped in the black markets though
10/13 of the nights there were pure f*ckery but NYE was the craziest though...
It started with the samba carnival drums then an influx of families coming straight
outta church with their kids walking into the bars and getting lit off that "grogue" and the local beer.
It was 1am and I saw a n!gga with his baby in hand still dancing. Police everywhere but...

3 am is when they turned off the speakers
by 4:30am I was sober and tired as all hell but the homie was out till 6 and had to start work at 9
Woke up the next morning and not a single restaurant was open so I rang up some waitress to come cook for me
Made me her miss work because I needed get those last nuts out ....
outta church with their kids walking into the bars and getting lit off that "grogue" and the local beer.
It was 1am and I saw a n!gga with his baby in hand still dancing. Police everywhere but...

- someone brought out speakers down the street and people flocked down there
- n!ggas were actually break dancing,
- certified dimes with natural hair and little makeup twerking
- the homie called up an old colleague to shower and party with us- and she actually showed up
- finessed a 3 sum for $60 all night with some random girls but when I returned from ATM they'd left
- hooked this army britcac up with some nigerian escort though
- A "madame" accused me of not buying ass because she saw me with my gf
- The two brazilian lesbians let me eat burgers for free just off my carioca accent
- Scooped up some thot in the taxi on the way back but she said I didn't seem interested because I didn't kiss her immediately - I drooped her off
