Where are you going?

I'm curious, how many trips to Barcelona, Paris or London could you get for the amount you just paid? It sucks that it costs so much to go to Africa.

Those vaccines are a big reason why I haven't gone to Africa. I don't even get a flu shot, haven't had one since I was 15. I don't like needles.

I read there were 10 recommended vaccines in addition to the yellow fever. I many did you take?

Also got twinrix (hep aand b)
Typhoid for chlorea


Then I have dukoral but it's in liquid from (travellers diarrahea)
Cipro if needed
Malarone 22 tablets for malaria

There were more like rabies etc but don't care to get those

One of the weirdest things I commonly see in Japan are college aged girls acting way more drunk then they actually are. They’ll be walking upright just fine in heels, but in every way else they’ll put on this act of being loud, laughing uncontrollably, etc. Maybe they think it’s cute or something...I don’t know..but it’s bizarre

all my other vaccines were covered

now I see why many folks don't go to africa if you don't have family, ish is expensive. Already spent over 3k and my ass hasn't even landed yet

And you have goofy Youtubers like SearchUhuru(whatever his name is) shaming nikkas for not visiting Africa.

You're staying at one of the top hotels in Lagos so the price is to be expected.

Your ticket, however, I think could have been gotten for atleast 300-500 USD cheaper.

Left Nigeria and on my way back to the US.

Pretty fun trip even though I was only there for 3 nights. This was just an appetizer until December.

There are just some countries that are way more fun when you got a stack. Nigeria is high on that list.

Yes, I went during Trump's inauguration. Pretty lowkey tbh but there's a good number of historical sites - I was in Punda and walked over to Otrobanda- I believe a lot of tourists do the ABC tour (Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao) and stop for a day by cruise but I opted strictly for Cura - in hindsight, would've done ABC as well but I just wanted to get some r&r. Do a boat tour and climb the mountain, you can see Venezuela from there.
They have some really cute art, and the buildings are gorg - really colorful hues.

Def cheap in terms of shopping for the most part and kind of poor, nightlife was just eh - everything closed down pretty early but maybe go during Carnival season, I think I was a bit early.

It must be when you're trying to go if I recall correctly my flight was less than 200 - I should add from NYC.

Sheesh. I gotta start switiching up my travel locations. What I've been spending on flights alone is what some people spend on their entire vacation.

Lowest I've spend on a ticket in the past 5 years is $760 and that was 2 weeks ago for my ticket to London.

Everything else has been like $1,000+.



Idk, I feel like I'd be wasting my youth by traveling to Mexico, ABC Islands or the Carribeans just to go to a resort or some blue water beaches.

I'd rather be roaming the streets and seeing the "real"

I'm the queen of 48 hour trips so it was perfect and inexpensive.

I need to do a bucket list by region/continent where I'm going to go farther but shorter flights and stays win for me pretty much.
