Watched The Tingler yesterday. It's one of those old school william castle flicks like house on haunted hill starring Vincent Price. But I don't think it really works without being in the theater and having one of those seats that actually vibrate during the movie.
Imagine all the deviants that would turn out these days to watch a movie with vibrating seats.
Imagine the pull quotes:
"It's better than the spin cycle"
"Vibrator? Psh, go see the Tingler"
"I saw the Tingler on what was supposed to be a dry run and ended up with a bit of a mess on my hands"

one of castle's best flicks, wonderful gimmick to add. I think it does work IMO..lights off and watch in the dark.
It was tough to get through. I'll try it that way, maybe it'll work. I love the house on haunted hill though
i absolutely love William's pictures, he does it his way and keeps it to his heart..
have you seen mr sardonicus (1961)? could have been a twilight zone episode..fantastic..
straight-jacket- bites Hitchcock's psycho but still a dope watch.
the night-walker- pretty good and nice visuals.

Homicidal- nice thriller..
Rosemary's baby..this was castle's baby before polanksi was the replacement as such..

I peeped 13 ghosts years ago, I think I was in college. I remember liking it but I haven't seen it in so damn long
prefer it to the contemporary remake.
shock value ? regarding william castle..
It's a book that came out a few years ago about horror. Has a portion on William Castle, and Carpenter, and O'Bannon, etc. It's all about the horror flicks from the 70s and the people producing them so it gives the whole story on Rosemary's Baby and Castle's involvement etc. I need to finish it. Started reading it out in Cali and never picked it up when I got back home. That was 4 years ago
