Blumhouse, The Invisible Man -
Blumhouse and writer-director Leigh Whannell’s The Invisible Man will be creeping into a theater near you in February 2020. And today we’ve learned that the MPAA has slapped the film with an R-rating for “some strong bloody violence, and language.”
THE INVISIBLE MAN Rated R for Strong Bloody Violence - Dread Central

In this new version, Elisabeth Moss plays a woman trapped in a violent, controlling relationship with a wealthy and brilliant scientist ( Oliver Jackson-Cohen). She escapes in the dead of night and disappears into hiding, aided by her sister (Harriet Dyer), their childhood friend (Aldis Hodge), and his teenage daughter (Storm Reid). But when her abusive ex dies by suicide and leaves her a generous portion of his vast fortune, she suspects his death was a hoax. As a series of eerie coincidences turn lethal, threatening the lives of those she loves, her sanity begins to unravel as she desperately tries to prove that she is being hunted by someone nobody can see.

:patrice:
and 13k Rep points. :beli:Makes sense right.. lmao.:mjlol::deadmanny: You know the vibe. There's a segment of TLR that hates an opinionated woman that stands her ground, has values and doesn't fit into the sex worker, ig thot, stripper mentality that fits into their stereotypical societal mold, who doesn't wench or align with the whitewashed mentality. That segment can't handle that type of feedback and didn't like their own self-exposure.. yada yada... I didn't protest it, let them have their way- it just makes them look suspect with the desperation bc everybody is asking the reasons for it- the POTY that they selected has a negative red rep which shows the deck that they're working with here
:bryan::dead:
I wonder if I am the only TLR woat to have a pos rep? anyway it is what it is

I was all set to dap you until this part. :laff:
Invisibility and/or the ability to read people's minds has to be the creepiest/cringe "superpower" in the sense of people not being able to see you but you can see them and the awkward potential moments that could take place.

Watched a movie called "Little Joe" yesterday. Kinda ended how you'd expect. But over all it wasn't bad.

Fred.

This movie looks trippy.. and atmospheric. Interesting premise with the plants/flowers. I've been looking for a decent psychological thriller type movie.

That's the category I'd put it in.

This is starting to get me aggravated - why do they keep doling out the PG 13 ratings!!???:gucci:
I was looking forward to this. Just make it "R", I need my horror gore fix- no tweens or teens are going to know what Fantasy Island is about or the original tv show.
:mindblown:

Blumhouse’s horror-twist on that old TV series Fantasy Island is headed our way this Valentine’s Day. And today we have word the MPAA slapped the movie with – big surprise – a PG-13 rating for “violence, terror, drug content, suggestive material, and brief strong language.”

Truth be told, I was kind of hooked by this movie’s general premise (a horror version of Fantasy Island, duh) but after seeing the preview this looks a little, I don’t know, ‘meh’ to me. Hopefully, the final film keeps the blood and guts coming though. Fingers crossed. Yeah, right.
