Yeah fam, I was refreshed at how simple the premise was and how it let them just focus on tension and scares. And for some reason the haunted house felt authentic, I felt a sense of direction on that tip.

:mjlol: at the Spoiler too, I was the same way.

Plus, (this just me) they didnt seem like some over the top ass college kids. They seemed normal and wasnt all OD annoying and shyt. Even fatboy didnt get on my nerves like that.
I def recommend this one.
them masks started coming off i was like, "what the...??"

I'm glad to see someone who feels like I did for this one fam, definitely a big recommendation from me. On the kids tip, agree too. I actually found a lot of what they did relatable

When this dude Mitch the ghost asked the fat guy "hey do you still wanna see under my mask?" I was not ready for that reveal fam!

Gonna watch that haunted shyt this weekend. Hope they got it on the fire stick. That and Hell house 3. Hopefully I find that other flick ya was talking about that I couldn’t find on the fire stick last week.

I TRAPPED THE DEVIL was a mixed bag for me.
I liked the unrelenting sense of foreboding that permeated through the entire movie, just the disembodied voice of "The Devil" was done in a way that was very malevolently unsettling and Scott Poythress did a great job balancing his character's sense of conviction with the full steam descent into madness he was experiencing.
On the negative side I thought the movie gave up on the idea of keeping the audience in the dark about whether there was some poor innocent person locked up in a madman's basement or an actual evil being in there; and the other two actors in this cast gave me absolutely nothing. Also the ending was obviously supposed to be a jaw dropping kind of thing but I found it to be a bit ho-hum.
I give this movie 2 out of 4 Smilin' Freddys: :smilingfred::smilingfred:

While plans aren’t set in stone, we’re hearing that the hope is to make a direct sequel to Hooper’s ’74 film, similar to what Blumhouse and Universal have done with Halloween. Unfortunately, Texas Chain Saw Massacre‘s Final Girl, Marilyn Burns, passed away in 2014. It will be interesting to see how they continue the story without her, although it could just focus on the current state of the Sawyer family. (Make sure to read John Squires’ piece on the confused Texas Chainsaw Massacre timeline.)

If they do that then Leatherface would be in a wheelchair with one foot and an insulin drip because you just know that by the time he reached his 60s the sugar would have kicked his ass.
