Saw the following:

The House that Dripped Blood (1971): This is probably my favorite Amicus anthology so far. I enjoyed all four stories here, only the framing story is kinda weak especially compared to the one in Dr. Terror's House of Horror. The effects hold up though and the stories are fun. Features Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing and Ingrid Pitt. I'd recommend this for sure.

The Addiction (1995): This was good. Lili Taylor gives such a great performance here. Christopher Walken is here briefly and is good as well but Lili stands out. This is probably one of the more interesting non traditional vampire stories I've seen. (considering the hunger is a metaphor) As the movie went on I found out it was actually a secret prequel to The Sopranos . But yeah, I'd recommend this as well.

Check both out when you get a chance.

Revenge felt like the #metoo- ed version of I Spit on Your Grave. I had to chuckle at a few lines. But overall good movie- even mesh of atmospheric tension, psychology and violence/gore factor.

It was awesome right? That’s what I meant by saying you can’t do spit on your grave anymore cause revenge kinda blew that up. Stylistically, tonally, and from a messaging standpoint.

Even the climax is just an inverse of the typical shyt we get from those movies. Hard to believe that actress is the same lead actress in Rings:francis: that movie is ass cheeks. Glad she got something dope to do

Suspiria remake is finally on prime. Watching it now and not sure how I feel about it so far. Something feels off
Unecessary remake. I was hyped for it too :rudy:

1 horror scene worth a damn and the ending was a complete joke.

The rest of the film ran entirely too long and might as well not even share the name of the original.

I wouldn’t say it was unnecessary either. There are good ideas in it and it’s definitely its own thing. But damn that shyt just doesn’t work. It’s too long, like you said, and sometimes too smart for its own good
