Don't know how long the links are going to last, but the UK brehs and brehettes got to see a version of the Evil Dead remake, that nobody else has.

http://bloody-disgusting.com/news/3330068/alternate-evil-dead-ending-aired-uk/

This is the only one that I thought was cool. :yeshrug:Would have helped with the Ash swerve that they pulled. The rest of them I could do without, especially that alternate ending. :scust:It would have been fine, up until the nonsense with the closeup of her eyes opening. Unless more land, it seems like the Theatrical version is all that I'll need.

Evil Dead 13 was cool and competent. It wasn't nearly as gorey as they lead on though. :upsetfavre:

I like Evil Dead 2 & 3, but 1 was mean spirited as fukk and this felt the similar that. Only thing missing was Bruce Campbell's energy, tbh.

There are a lot of good horror remakes breh.

The remake/sequel to A Town that Dreaded Sundown is pretty fukking great until the last 20 minutes....that might be the worst 20 minutes of an otherwise great remake I've ever seen...just totally ruined the movie.

So..."Digging Up The Marrow" :mjpls:

It falls into the same "traps" that a lot of found footage movies do. I'm kinda over that whole sub-genre, to be real (and that includes a lot of this movie). That said, it's creature designs are fukking ace, even if they aren't all realized (low budget here). Really, this is probably one of the times where the ending saves the rest of the film, imo. Well, it leaves a better impression. Saves is to strong a word. The end of the third act turns into some wild shyt. I don't know that I've seen a movie with this specific subject matter, do this particular ending. By all means, it's not new (creative how they used it here tho), but shyt had me like :ohhh::lupe: :beli:(white people in these movies) to :patrice::merchant::damn:. The last act was cool, but that last 5-10 minutes. :banderas:

It's crazy how wreckless these cameramen are in these films...

I hope you enjoy it. I can see this thread being kinda split on it. lol

I actually haven't seen Nightbreed or The Boogens. Need to throw them on the list, asap.

Personally I love anything horror-wise from the 70s. There's really nothing like it. I think that horror movies nowadays borrow a lot from this decade that the 80s-90s missed out on.

Check out

The Sentinel (1977) It's got satanic gore, orgies & even lesbianism while being a ghost story

Ride With The Devil

Burnt Offerings

Phantasm

Also, if you have a Roku, there's an app named Bizarre Tv which shows a lot of classic horror A & B-movies from that era that I really enjoy and watch a lot. Some of the Italian horror films it shows even have softcore porn added into the mix. It's really a great channel if you love the genre.
