I would push back on Omar and Jada's deaths in Scream 2 being a case where the movie fell into the well-worn trope of black folk always dying first in horror movies solely because they were supposed to die first. Kevin Williamson and Wes Craven intentionally did that as part of the whole self-aware conceit of the movie.
They did fall right into Tropeville with Elise Neal's character though.
And it was even worse with that character because the decision to kill her was last minute. She was instead supposed to be one of the killers who was plotting against Sidney.

On the 7th episode of a Discovery of Witches.
One thing Ive never admitted is that i love the subtlety in shows where characters have powers and shyt.
Like i love GORE! I love people getting fukked up in movies.
But i love when they put powers as like an afterrhought for characters with powers.
Sort of like the Daredevil show on NETFLIX.
Thats really cool to me.
