Sequel is awesome. It’s just pure B movie horror sci-fi. Definitely working with a smaller budget but it’s a fun flick
Ok, thanks! Added Mandy, Revenge and that to my list to watch today while I get some work done.

Started watching Mandy , the lady in the lead role gives off "Carrie" vibes - sissy spacek..

Yeah she’s really dope in the movie. She has this haunted ass vibe about her. Like I don’t want to be around her cause something is going off the rails. I don’t need that in my life

Bout to check out Hush after this Pro Bowl. After watching Haunting on Hill House I realized I got a mild crush on Kate Siegel. I hope her fine ass don't die. :noah:

Say fukking word. Look I love the movie. I think William Freidkin is one of the greats and I love that dude came out two weeks ago and straight shytted on exorcist 2:russ:

But the movie isn't as interesting as the shyt around it. The weird stuff that happened on the set, people thinking the movie was cursed, the rules he broke as a director, the marketing, etc. On the real, I prefer exorcist 3:ehh:
There any good making-of docs?

Blumhouse and universal are doing the invisible man with Leigh Whannel directing.

This is part of a bigger plan universal has to reintroduce the universal monsters after the dark universe thing didn’t work so well.

They’re letting individual filmmakers come through and shoot their shot if they have something to say, which is what they should’ve done from jump. Focus on telling a good story then worry about the larger universe

Glad blumhouse is getting involved. I was hyped for the dark universe idea until they announced Tom Cruise’s The Mummy.

Thank jebus these studios have all gotten over Marvel Fever and are back to actually letting creators make movies with some vision instead of trying to build these movie universes.

I didn't even dislike The Mummy. It was an OK Tom Cruise action movie but as the entry point of the Universal Monsters into the modern era it was not it at all.

Yup. One movie at a time. Tell your singular story. Especially if it’s a horror universe. Let them shyts breathe. Horror works best when it’s self contained. Even IT, which is two parts, is still one story

NIGHTMARE CINEMA
crKUNl4.jpg

A series of down-on-their-luck individuals enter the decrepit and spine-chilling Rialto theater, only to have their deepest and darkest fears brought to life on the silver screen by The Projectionist (played by Mickey Rourke) – a mysterious, ghostly figure who holds the nightmarish futures of all who attend his screenings. By the time our patrons realize the truth, escape is no longer an option. For once the ticket is torn, their fate is sealed at Nightmare Cinema.

The film features a slate of talented directors for the horror genre that is made up of Alejandro Brugués (Juan of the Dead), Ryûhei Kitamura (The Midnight Meat Train), David Slade (30 Days of Night), Joe Dante (Gremlins) and Mick Garris (Stephen King’s The Stand). It also features a large cast of heavyweights including Oscar-nominee Rourke, three time Golden Globe-winner Richard Chamberlain (Twin Peaks), Patrick Wilson (The Conjuring 2, Aquaman), Elizabeth Reaser (The Haunting of Hill House) and Adam Godley (Lodge 49).
