Every time I'm scanning Netflix, this passes by and I think about it...just can't bring myself to do it though, the disgust factor is too strong.

I watched a few min of it a while back and couldn’t get past the writing lol. Kevin has fallen off from a dialogue standpoint at least in that one

This one had me at the premise and then the cast wound up being pretty stacked too. A group of teenagers get sucked into an 80's slasher and have to survive the movie. The self awareness and satire is played up heavy which means it doesn't actually have scares but rather just horror tropes. It's more comedy with a horror movie setting, if that makes sense. That said, the parody of Friday the 13th works. Rules of horror are exaggerated to the point that I laughed out loud a few times. It helps that the roles play into actors' strengths. The guys from Workaholics and Silicon Valley each play familiar characters but with a horror stereotype twist that fits their respective styles perfectly. There's a bit of drama injected that also works because it's well acted. Characters feel like they have a backstory, it's all treated with some care for such a fast paced parody of the genre. I really liked this ish.

So when we starting or is everyone just doing the shyt dolo and be on their honor?
I think we might end up having to play it by ear which ones we watch at the same time and which ones we do solo watches on.
We could still have the separate discussion threads for people to comment/review the movies.

It's that time of the season... :blessed:

I have my usual stack of classics I'll watch throughout the month, but I also want to watch a bunch of cheesy, sleazy bad horror movies that I've never seen before. Started with these two:

MPW-7889

Silly, low budget movie but it had some fun practical effects. :ehh: I love the poster for it.

Cool idea for a horror movie, but it wasn't scary at all (what/who the killer is is never in doubt), but it does have a decent twist at the end.

Finally got home..smh..traffic..did y'all start the watch yet??

Nah. @Jello Biafra made a good point since the shyt is way too hard to sync up, if there's one that we're all watching at once, like on the weekend, then we can do the watch party. if not, just watch on your own and those of us who are watching at the same time can just come in here and talk about the shyt. I'm firing mine up soon

Carpenter needs to work with Dean Cundy again. He said recently he wants to direct again but it has to be the right thing....and in the right climate. Says he's too old to go to Antartica again so that ain't happening.
