I have been in that camp for a while now.
I am completely over the demonic possession/ghost type movies and want a slasher renaissance.
Hopefully Halloween makes major money at the box office and it results in studios all scrambling to put out more slasher horror.
Hard Candy is a good movie.
Physiological thriller mixed in with vigilante torture porn (not too much visualy though ). Good build up, creepy, and I was a bit unnerded for a bit after watching it. Emma Watson KILLED her role in this film.
shows you how much i know about actors and actressesThat was Ellen Page not Emma Watson.
It is a really good movie though.
Depends on the mood for me. I've been lacking in my horror movie viewing lately... but there's a list of things that I need to check out. The last atmospheric supernatural horror that I saw (big screen, wide release) was Hereditary.. I was less than impressed. That's wussup. Thanks.
I love the supernatural horror movies, but they're not always done right. It takes a lot more effort I believe to make a solid atmospheric ghost / supernatural horror compared to a slasher movie.
Lol.. that's ok.. we appreciate the effort . if you like Hard Candy, you may like this movie called The Tortured- here's the description from IMDB: An upper-middle-class couple's life is destroyed when their only child is kidnapped and killed. Obsessed with revenge, the couple seizes an opportunity to kidnap the killer. (But I find it harder to watch horror movies with kids as victims since I had my daughter, got more sensitive to that, but I like the revenge aspects.. )shows you how much i know about actors and actresses
I absolutely hated it and fell asleep. Apparently,I missed a lot of subtleties thrown in, but I can't muster enough "give a fukk" to rewatch this pile of crapDepends on the mood for me. Yeah.. I'm not rewatching that. Even though I have limited expectations with movies in general; that was a miss for me. The last 30 mins...I was like foh. There's certain movies that I get excited about as far as franchises - Halloween, Conjuring, Saw, and some good sequels coming out next year but that movie can kick rocks.I absolutely hated it and fell asleep. Netflix released the trailer for The Haunting of Hill House series.

yea I don't think i can revisit that shyt either man. It's rare for me to not like a movie upon second viewing, so what's the fukkin point. If it doesn't get the job done the first time, thenYeah.. I loved Tragedy Girls. It was the right balance of comedy/horror for the type of movie it was trying to be.No one saw Tragedy Girls tho??
Underrated ass horror flik. And it was funny.
I know i posted this in this thread.
