Trying to watch as much horror I can this month..

Babadook
Town dreaded sundown
Annabelle

Are on my cinema list...

I've been watching pure carpenter flicks in the past few evenings..also watched a lovecraft documentary, hmmmmmm...inherently!

Lovecraft, Carpenter, and add in Hitchcock and you got the ultimate horror month right there...Lovecraft is so slept on its ridiculous, but that's because the films based on his work have been average at best...Re-Animator remains the only classic ever put to film while From Beyond and Book of the Dead are pretty decent

Yep, plus in the book it was 100% Supernatural and Kubrick's version leaves it up in the air ambiguously whether it was supernatural or all in Jack's head...King really hated that part

That movie is such a masterpiece that I don't give 2 shyts what King thought; it should be required watching tbh; Its the film that put Kubrick in my top directors of all time
How was it ambiguous when Nicholson was in the photo with the ghosts at the end.

King still said that having that pic at the end wasn't enough...the entire movie was supposed to show supernatural elements...Jack Nicholson came off as already being psycho so many thought it was all in his head for the entire film; King hated that and the atmosphere...he said it should have been established early on that it was supernatural...like in his miniseries he did in 1997

Night of the Creeps is a dope horror cult classics. Surprised it did so poorly at the box office when it released

Breh I love night of the Creeps too for its B Movie fukkery, but let's be honest: the shyt was campy and campy flicks especially in the 80s when there were so many of them, didn't make money like that. Its not surprising that it stunk up the box office and became a cult classic...

It's actually one of the better ones, tho. I was only an infant when it was out so I don't know the landscape at the time.
