I thought it was fine and enjoyed a lot of it. It was original (at the time) and adds a slight twist to the vampire mythos.

Needed a bigger budget though.

I think I mentioned years ago how big name studios jack/remix ideas from indie movies to give them to the hot-new directors and if you watch a lot of them, you be in the theater pissed off because you figure the new movie out while watching it because you saw the exact same movie years earlier and just did not remember before your bought the ticket.

Off the top , I can think of these:

There's something wrong with the children is basically a mashup of the "the Children" & "wicked little things"

Scream is influenced By Return to Horror high

The Entire Saw series is a repackaged "Den" - which came out years before saw

or they heavily borrow elements of a movie to make a new one

Like "Smile" is molded from "It Follows" which is the step-child of "Ringu".

of course , there are more, but with the flood of DTV , its hard to keep up

when I saw that trailer yesterday , I was like....fukkk, I have seen something very similar to this , not that long ago.

I really need a trakt account :francis:

The "hired to kidnap a girl that turns out to be a deadly supernatural entity" premise probably has a nice lineage. I recalled this movie which wasn't awful (wasn't particularly good either).

Been a while since I posted in here. I just watched The Vagrant. Really liked it. Definitely one I’m looking forward to watching again. This dude Graham was something else. :mjlol:

The movie was hilarious when he started living in the trailer park. I started watching this because I was watching w/e Bill Paxton was in.

'Shutter Island' is creepy as shyt. I hadn't seen it in a long time. Scorsese could have been a brilliant horror visionary if he wanted to. Leo is in his bag. The story is a bit confusing at times, you have to pay attention but it's good. I guess they shot most of this film in Massachusetts as well.

Haha I had a friend who believes calling someone a GOAT means society will sacrifice them! I wonder if the movie will tackle this! 😸
