Honestly man I'd go with Halloween lol. I feel like it's tame enough from a gore and blood standpoint but scary enough
But you are forgetting about the extended shots of PJ Soles buck ass naked.

don't know if its been mentioned here but the guy who wrote the first draft of what was supposed to be the next friday the 13th did an interview wit bloody disgusting this week and you can read his first draft if you want

I know it was just a first draft but that thing was kinda rough to get through.
And the pacing was a mess.
First draft man like you said lol. for a first draft you're looking at the ideas and the themes and the characters. on your second draft is when you tighten it up. he never got the chance to do that and he had some good ideas.
Yeah like I could see some of the camp counselor characters being merged because there were too many of them IMO and maybe tighten up the pacing but the goofy way he had Jason revealed and then going on a spree killing frenzy of the combined camp counselors was odd but even that paled in comparison to that ending rampage.
I swear its like people don't get that while Jason is supposed to be a force that is hard to stop he can't be an unstoppable force of nature. And he's also not the hero. That first draft took great pains to make Jason cool when the point is to make the kills cool not the killer.
They said they were going for a merge of all the different Jason's and I know he said he would've polished that had he gotten a second go. But the studio changed bosses and the whole project went sideways
I tried to download this, but Im gettin this circus version or some shyt.not horror but horrifying..

Finally watched lights out...it's always weird when a horror film leaves me feeling sad, happened with a haunting in Connecticut and the orphanage
