Watched Soft & Quiet... It's very well directed, really solid acting and it's shot in one take and the tension gets thicker as the story progresses. I thought it was a good movie but it just felt like it was missing something to push it over, the tension just sort of fizzles out near the end. I would advise going into this completely blind if you want the best experience, specifically stay away from reviews, even tho small important details are revealed right at the beginning, I thought it would have been way more effective if I didn't know beforehand.

the news just keeps coming

from the makers of Winnie the pooh: blood and honey ( in theaters 2/15) and its already green lit for a sequel
comes:

:russ: :deadrose:

I think the Peter Pan horror flick can work really well if they do something similar to American McGee's Alice but in movie form.

I actually gamed out a whole Neverland horror movie plot with a friend of mind once, based on the fact that some versions of the Peter Pan story implied that he'd drown the Lost Boys when they reached the age of adulthood...I don't remember where I even got that implication from, but it seemed like an easy jump-off point to make something scary.

just in time for X-mas

this actually looks good
will probably put it into my rotation
will be on PTO when it drops, may not get a chance to watch until i am back

Peacock's got a bunch of Christmas Horror movies queued already. I'm thinking of doing a 12 Days of Christmas Horror Movies because I tweeted a horror a day for October and that sparked some good convos and DM suggestions.

It's....weird...Visually has some stunning stuff but Idk if I'll watch it a second time even.

There is one scene that I think every horror head should have to sit through on principle tough.
Referring to the birthing scene or another one? That was one of the rare cases where my audience enhanced the experience. The ‘WTF’ reactions were priceless and just when you think the scene is about to end, it keeps going. I keep wondering what it would be like if I had watched it high.:laff::laff::laff:

One of the weakest horror entries of the year to me, but also the closest thing I’m gonna get to new Portishead. I really dug the first half, especially the tension building, but things got way too self-indulgent for me in the later half. Finding myself saying that often with Garland’s work lately.

That’s the scene 🤣. I definitely agree that the first-half was really well done and then it just got way too pretentious. That’s saying something too, bc I’m hella into pretentious horror convos and adding more meaning than necessary to an axe murder. :mjlol:

The top 4 posters of this thread have vanished. :wtf:

Nicole said she’d be back. Marty’s writing a book. Bx pops up now and then. But idk where @Jello Biafra is at, I feel like he’s MIA.
