i dont think they landed the supernatural aspect well, like is art a Demon that drove her dad Crazy or what, cause he clearly isnt mortal
Thought it was clear Art is some kind of supernatural entity. Dude shoots himself in the mouth in front of cops in the first joint and wakes up in a morgue in mint condition. Could see them explaining the father sub-plot more in the third entry.

nah i get that more
So the connection to the father is what im saying. They could easily say the pops dabbled in the occult which unleashed Art, like what triggered the dad to start drawing that stuff. Art being supernatural was a given but they didnt tie everything full circle

Leone likely left that plot point open-ended here to address and tie altogether in the next one. The protagonist surviving makes me believe that will be the case as well.

Honestly the movie was so damn long i think they coulda tied it in fairly easy if they cut out some of the earlier stuff

I get why they didn’t though. The franchise already had a loyal fanbase beforehand and the movie has been getting a lot of attention. They’re gonna want to pump out another one and that’s a plot point that will get folks theorizing until then.

Unless the next joint is a prequel they could have still answered it and done a pt 3 based on the ending

Next entry doesn’t even need to be a prequel. Sienna and her brother survived and will likely have similar shine in 3. Could see the father sub-plot popping up again there and further explained.

Guess we’ll just have to wait and find out.

I can't believe I haven't come across these yet, but holy shyt. These are a treasure chest of 1980's horror nostalgia :ohlawd:

Part 3 is out next month and for the next two days you can back the release and they have some pretty dope bundles available. Im watching part 1 right now and might cop the trilogy bundle for $120. Those posters would look dope in the studio :whoo:

I've been watching a lot of movies to try and hit that 31 mark before the end of the month but I watched Silence of the Lambs for the 1st time in a long time and damn. I can see now why this was such a popular/influential movie. I know it was a long time because when I was watching this I was like :ohhh: They got the Harley Quinn Joker dynamic from this movie.

When Lector meets Clarice for the first time he was giving her some ether.

You know what you look like to me, with your good bag and your cheap shoes? You look like a rube:scusthov:

A well scrubbed, hustling rube with a little taste. Good nutrition's given you some length of bone, but you're not more than one generation from poor white trash, are you, Agent Starling?:damn::damn::damn:

And that accent you've tried so desperately to shed: pure West Virginia. What is your father, dear? Is he a coal miner? Does he stink of the lamp? You know how quickly the boys found you... all those tedious sticky fumblings in the back seats of cars... while you could only dream of getting out... getting anywhere... getting all the way to the FBI.:dead::dead:

I actually liked Barbarian :yeshrug:

Didn't rely too much on jumpscares and kept me interested. Everybody was stupid and I wanted the main shorty to die tho from being an idiot. She kept tryna play superhero and almost got clapped for it smh.

Terrifier 2 was trash. Like the gore was good but Jesus was that movie long as fukk and the main bytch was so useless. That ending was terrible.

I finally saw Sweetheart and I liked it a lot. Main girl was an underrated Final Girl to me. Reminded me of Nancy.

I watched House of the Devil and The Innkeepers today. I still think Innkeepers is Ti West best movie and that includes the new ones. Ghost stories are very under appreciated. That shyt was great. All in all I've gotten through 60 movies so far this month.

Right now I'm watching Sometimes They Come Back....Again. Classic Stephen King adaption. Way better than the OG. I watched 1408 last night as I was going to sleep and that movie is so effective while not being gory.

Saving Halloween Ends for Halloween and I think I'll watch Run Sweetheart Run tomorrow. Gonna try to get to 75 by the end of Monday. :birdman:
