Warner Bros. Discovery reshuffled its upcoming slate of films again and while the Evil Dead-heads are celebrating the return of Deadites to the big screen with an unexpected theatrical release of Evil Dead Rise, it's bad news for Stephen King fans. New Line Cinema's Salem's Lot remake has been taken off of its originally planned April 21, 2023, release date in favor of the Lee Cronin-directed sequel film with no word on when the remake of the classic King story could reach audiences.

I just finished Nope and I'm honestly confused at how I feel. It was really good but just not completely what I expected I guess. In some ways I guess it feels like a waste of a concept or maybe like it was a little too much going on concept wise. I don't know tho. Way better than Us tho so I'll give it that.

They changed too much, Freddy's design was ass, the CGI shyt was god awful, the actors weren't very good, I don't mind the molester part as much as most only because that was the OG idea before they changed it. Just bad all around. Not even really rewatchable which is what made the OG movie so great.
Freddy was swagless in the remake.
I thought Jackie Earle Haley was going to kill it as Freddy too.

I wanted to go see that last night, while the wife and kids were gone. It was the perfect opportunity, but I drank a little whiskey after work and ended up knocked out on the coach trying to watch Archer. On another took the kids to universal studios today and was surprised they had an set from nope set up on the tour.
Basically—all of the “horror” elements were already show in the movie trailer
And this was another drama heavy movie marketed as horror.
At least they gave the title correct - it’s a NOPE from me on this - beginning of the film started off a 8/10, by the final scene it’s a 4/10. did not meet expectations

The ending of this, literally became cartoonish - how many effin times are they going to mention “Oprah”
