Finished it last night. It was…okay? Which is weird to say for a doc. There’s a way to do this in an interesting way and this felt very by the book. Informative thoThat’s the same one @MartyMcFly posted- I’m going to check it out today.

I scanned through it a little bit. It wasn’t notable imo. I feel like Found Footage documentary almost negates the premise of a found footage movie. Because it’s supposed to be based on the concept of realism, recording of real events happening in real time. Based on discoveries of events, reactions and experiences that normally wouldn’t be captured on film. So a documentary takes away from that- it’s like we know it wasn’t “real” but we don’t need to be told that it’s not real or explanations about the background of the cinematic techniques - Ruins the shock value and element of surprise.Finished it last night. @storyteller i looked up other movies with the actor from the Hannibal series. Madds Mikkelson - started watching this. This is one messed up violent asf movie.
The site has been in and out for me too - Lot of other things going on offline in real life and there’s not too much going on in the horror realm right now either. Like you said- I’m going to take this time to not procrastinate like I usually web browse forThis movie looks dope! I'm still in and out of being able to post after the forum update, but I'm def gonna check for this. I like that lawless, frontier type ish. Plus that Hannibal dude is a hell of an actor.
Hopefully the forums stable up so I can post about the random horror I come across. There's not much that I'm rushing to stream or see right now, so it's a perfect time to look for hidden gems and proper schlock.
This movie is a 8/10 for me. Entertaining - I liked this movie ALOT. Go into cold, no reviews, pleasantly surprised. (But I will preface this by saying that it has a relatability for women’s emotional issues and day to day struggles with underlying social commentary so to speak, so y’all dudes may not like it for the same reasons that I did). Not scary but more of a thriller with like 3 plot twists in this one movie. Combination of “US” with the evil tether/evil clone + “Predestination” with a little Pet Sematary-ish concepts built in.
Builds on the “what if you knew that you were going to die but had a “chance” to live again” - as usual it goes horrorbly wrong .. fukkery commences
Of course- it has the angsty depressed monotone “
“Daria” white girl trope, the main actor talks And acts just like this.
The duel- I didn’t think they would but I was hoping there would be “the fight”. Off the fact that it was a little indie production- I wasn’t expecting a “hunger games” type battle but at least a climax based off how the beginning of the movie started. But when “her copy” started acting too nice- that foreshadowed that she was finessing something devious.Watched this today and thought it was alright. It had a good, weird vibe going for most of it, but
I was bummed we didn’t get a duel at the end.
Someone in the support group said something about the copy’s not being able to have copy’s, but with how weird everyone acted in the movie, it felt like everyone was a copy of a copy of a copy just trying to portray a real person.
lmao, never heard of it. The title isn't promising. Any "so bad it's good" potential?
