Good read, bruh.:salute:

I do agree with you that one of the things the new Scream did very well was give us a group of new characters to like and made them the center of the movie's plot. While Scream 4 created some good characters it always felt like they weren't there to carry the franchise into the future but rather to die in place of the core 3 from the original movie.

Yeah they really did look like they were there just to die. Although Kirby lived

For her sake, I hope she doesn’t pop up in the next film. Because there’s some unfinished business if so…

This is sooooo boring right now - I can’t get into it.

i think that I have maxxed out on psychological horror fellas. That’s allllll ive been watching for like 2 months. I can’t. I need ghosts, demon possessions and severed limbs, shock gore - more slashers and less indie, arthouse, mental psychological slowwwww burn. I have psychological horror fatigue. I can’t wait to see scream 2022 on paramount . All of these filler movies aren’t cutting it until I do. Please pleasssee drop any reccs for newer non psychological horror - I need the psychotic . I’m struggling finding decent stuff to watch in 2022.

I've tried to watch it twice and threw in the towel both times

So we had a quick bash session over The Woman in the Window and I found a gem that's straight-up satirizing it.

I figured Kristin Bell does more comedic ish than anything, so I threw this on and it's a straight-up satire of the woman in the window. She's basically the same character but with the plot details exaggerated to a ridiculous extent. It winds up being tongue-in-cheek heavy, but I got a kick out of the way it poked fun at a movie I disliked...at least for the first couple of episodes (will continue, because I'm pretty entertained and had a crush on Kristin Bell growing up).

Nailed it fam, this felt like the best "requel" so far by a long shot IMO. I'm also glad you left out why all the characters didn't like the latest Stab...that running joke bodied me every damned time.

I think the new Candyman attempted a similar approach, but slipped up a bit on execution. New focal points but connections to the past, familiar places with changes, and an attempt to give us a new generation to follow.

But Candyman sincerely tried to hit that elevated horror whereas Scream mostly satirized the idea...while still giving its leads opportunities to really act.

Finally saw Scream, so I feel like I can get back in this thread without possibly needing to dodge spoilers :russ:

strange choice to shyt on Scream 4 as much as they did when that was the last craven/williamson scream we’ll get and to me it was much better than this one.

Question - Does Nic Cage go the whole movie not saying a word?? @MartyMcFly @Jello Biafra ?? This Wally’s (Willy’s) Wonderland, Chuck E Cheese movie? Really????

What in the Friday Night fights is this?? I can’t stop looking at this either. Like I want to hit the stop button but I cannot.

It’s soooo much to decipher here that I just won’t.

Things start heading left. Immediately - after the “you ain’t got the cash to gitttt yerrr car fixed..ain’t no inturrrrnet in Hayesville- we ain’t got no ATeeeeMmmmm”

No one can tell me the blueprint for this isn’t Rob Zombie inspired.
