realistically, that was a clear work around to begin. Nobody uses them braces how they're "meant to be used". just a clever loophole, them guns were always SBR's.Factoring Criteria for Firearms with Attached “Stabilizing Braces” | Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives
The ATF is making Pistol braces illegal and forcing you to register any Pistol that has a brace as a SBR.
Ehh. AR/AK variants would he banned if we went that route. The original AWB was meant to outlaw them, but people got around it with "compliance devices" like bullet buttons, Thorsden stocks, and maglocks.realistically, that was a clear work around to begin. That's why i avoid a lot these new fad accessories with guns, despite wanting them.
automatic weapons are illegal for example, meaning anything that works to that effect regardless of trigger pull will likely become illegal at some point too, like bump stocks.
Why i have resisted the urge to cop an echo trigger for my AR. that shyt will be banned the first time someone uses it in a crime that makes national headlines.
Gun enthusiasts tend to read too literally into the language of these laws as opposed to the intent of the laws.
They don't want people shouldering short barreled rifles period. They thought banning stocks on them would achieve that purpose. Somebody one day said
this isn't technically a stock its a brace perfectly legal
meanwhile they watching us shoulder the fukk outta those guns all the time
Didn they end up banning most of those loopholes too though? thats my point. bullet buttons were banned too, i believe thorsden stocks as well. at least in the restricted states. The ATF isn't Gollum from the hobbit, they not just gonna let stuff slide because you came up with a clever solution to their riddle. or outfoxed them.Ehh. AR/AK variants would he banned if we went that route. The original AWB was meant to outlaw them, but people got around it with "compliance devices" like bullet buttons, Thorsden stocks, and maglocks.
That's why the new push is to outlaw semiautomatic firearms entirely.
the funny thing is that the whole concept of sbrs was itself a loophole. sbrs exist only cause the nfa was originally supposed to cover all handguns, so legislators carved out the 18" barrel length minimum for rich cacs' sporting guns. the nfa was defanged more after the carve-out and before passing but this vestigial loophole survived.realistically, that was a clear work around to begin. shot show was ass last year, nice to see it rebound with some cool shyt. i'm gonna be first in line for dumb shyt like the zenk revolver, stealth arms platypus, ria 5.0, s&w 5-7, etc., collecting is truly a disease lol.I know what I'm getting 3 items from shot this year.

Last year was good if just for Holosun introducing the eps, I say this year Holosun stole the show again with the enclosed non battery optic. I was about to buy the new sig red dot that mounted from underneath but Holosun is my gang.the funny thing is that the whole concept of sbrs was itself a loophole. sbrs exist only cause the nfa was originally supposed to cover all handguns, so legislators carved out the 18" barrel length minimum for rich cacs' sporting guns. the nfa was defanged more after the carve-out and before passing but this vestigial loophole survived.
this came back to fukk over the government after they surplused a bunch of m1 carbines which were like 17.75", making all the buyers overnight felons. the fix was to amend the sbr definition to 16" and have a general amnesty, same as like with the '90s amnesty when they banned south african shotguns.
regarding your second post i agree it's silly as hell, these workarounds are interesting engineering curious (olympic arms/franklin arms anybody?) but they're clearly line stepping and on borrowed time. the inventors, the buyers, batfags, and the attorneys general of slave states all know it but for some reason it's vulgar to say it out loud.

Lol. It was literally a piece of paper. I had to laminate it myself. They used to use hard cards, but after Bruen, they're issuing so many they can't keep up with demand. This is an interim until they can start giving out hard cards again.Y'all state shyt look like a library card from 1948.
Our shyt look like a license. Some times I pull mine when I need my ID just so dem cacs know what time it is.
