How confident do you boys be feeling with a concealed carry when you're in a potentially dangerous environment?

The only time I feel nervous is when I carry in a state that I'm not licensed in. I weighed the risks, and to me (and I'm only speaking for myself), the threat of jail time is less scary than the threat of possible death.
As far as having to pull my gun; I never have had to, and I pray I never do. I was always taught to use my gun if I pull it out. I carry only as a defensive measure, and as a last resort. Unless me and mine are in immediate danger, I try to deescalate the situation.
