my father in law gave us 2 long guns. idk what they are i aint taken em out the case thing they came in. ill prolly clean em and go to a range, try em out.

My first AR was an M&P Sport 2. It's quality, especially for such an affordable gun.
The pistol is probably made just as well, and it's cheaper than the Springfield St. Victor pistol.

I have a sport 2, it's a great base to mod and have an even nicer gun. If bought at the right price point the sport 2 plus the mods are going to be even with a nice built from scratch ar. It's kind of a Frankenstein but as long as it performs well and all the components are solid built, reputable performance, then that's all that matters. It will never be a Gucci gun, but it can be a damn good gun, plus it'll all be your own, not some off the shelf clone.

I used all magpul parts too, and I added a holosun sight. I bought a 2 point sling from one of my local stores, but I don't remember what brand it is.

You can change everything to your liking.

Grip, stock, bolt carrier group, charging handle, barrel, trigger, buffer tube, obviously the hand guard, foregrip/handstop, sight accessories, muzzle brake.

You just reminded me. I changed to an ambidextrous charging handle. I bought a magpul vertical foregrip, too, but I took it off pretty quickly.

I have a vertical foregrip on mine. I like it now, I have some slanted handstops but if I put one on there it'll be like all my others, I like to have a variety. It comes at a price point and is so easy to find as well as so reliable out of the box you can afford to Frankenstein it and if you blow it up salvage what you can.

I just posted it on guns.com for an appraisal. If I don't like the offer I'll check out some gun stores in my area.

i would just keep it for now tbh, it's like the worst possible time to sell that gun. the m2.0 with the curved trigger just got discontinued and dealers are blowing them out for nothing so they can make room for the "2.1," even the xm17 is going for like $350 shipped. gun stores are def a better bet than guns.com tho, they'll likely consign it for a 10-15% vig.

edit: more black agents/atf drama if anyone cares, p sure this one isn't paywalled. i'm sure the agency which sold n****r hunting licenses in the 90s would have no ulterior motives here.

I got an offer from guns.com this morning for $305.

Normally I would just hold on to it but I have 3 S&W pistols and no use for this one.
