Any suggestions on where I could find a good deal?

I'll do some searching. I got mine when Daniel Defense had the regular MSRP and stores weren't going nuts hiking the prices and people weren't happily emptying their pockets because they thought guns were going to be banned.

I bought my first chest rig back in 2013, hopefully NcStar improved their Quality, but since then all of my rigs are from Spartan Armor and I have not had any issues.

Here is a break down of body armor and it's best to make sure the armor is NIJ tested Body Armor Compliance Testing

Handgun Calibers

• Level IIA: Effective against 9mm to .40 ammunition fired from short barrel handguns. Not effective against rifles
• Level II: Effective against 9mm and .357 magnum ammunition from short barrel handguns. Not effective against rifles.
• Level IIIA: Effective against .357 and .44 magnum ammunition from long barrel handguns. Not effective against rifles

Rifle Calibers

• Level III: Effective against 7.62 FMJ core ammunition.
• Level IV: Effective against .30cal steel for armor piercing rounds

Still have my level IV rig from the war.

im sorry but even the mk18 is going for over 2 bands right now. If your looking to save money I would not be looking at Daniel defense in this climate . I feel like the cmmg banshees give u more bang for the buck especially with the delayed gas system. I love the pdw 300 blkout but the banshee in .57 or 10mm with ZERO recoil is hard to top at $1500

yeah online than u gotta find an ffl…. Only real fanatics like u and I kno about all that lol… most heads are hitting the gun store and the gun store will wack u over the head…. My fin feather fur (cheapest local gun store) had a mk18 for $1899 and the pdw for $2200…. shyt brazy @east
