Do you have any tips on plate carriers and ballistic plates. I'm trying to get a concealable plate setup going.
I bought a cheap plate carrier off ebay just to start with (below).
NEW NcSTAR Heavy Duty Discreet Plate Carrier M-4XL Adjustable Concealable | eBay
Looking for cheap plates to put it in. Nothing crazy doesn't have to stop rifle rounds. just something to wear to range and protect against a fukkup.

honestly idk much about the topic, but last time i priced out overt armor all the good stuff (hesco u210/p210, ltc, tencate) was so expensive that i didn't get anything. the inexpensive ones like ar500/safelife are dangerous and/or not nij certified.

unless you want an overt carrier for whatever reason i'd use any nij certified (not "tested") 3a vest, it's gonna be much lighter and you can even wear them under loose shirts. point blank and safariland are the two big quality companies there, they sell under like a dozen diff brands. crye is big on gucci gun ig so i assume it's good too haha.

i think it's pretty difficult to find good armor now, i checked gt distributors and they were out of stock on all safariland vests.

Jesus Christ, just googled it. This is why i'm always sus about white peoples gun channels. They always secretly on some wierdo cult/racist shyt.
I automatically dismiss anyone who mentions the NRA or rants too much about the 2nd amendment like it's some civil rights struggle equal to slavery. Like hey you own 100s of guns, i think the second amendment is working just fine for you. You just complaining about having to jump through hoops.
i'm just going to stick to black YouTubers from now on.

Damn, already ordered the NCstar. A youtuber gave it a good review. but he probably only had it for a week before posting.
That link is a good price though. If their quality is still as bad as it was when you bought i might return it and get that one.

Those White dudes are jokes they are always talking about the government and the 2nd amendment, but they have all the non registered SBR's, Silencers, Sawed off shot guns, videos on how to convert your rifle into an automatic weapon, how to make home made silencers, rooms full of ammunition, AP rounds and etc.

I bought my first chest rig back in 2013, hopefully NcStar improved their Quality, but since then all of my rigs are from Spartan Armor and I have not had any issues.

Here is a break down of body armor and it's best to make sure the armor is NIJ tested Body Armor Compliance Testing

Handgun Calibers

• Level IIA: Effective against 9mm to .40 ammunition fired from short barrel handguns. Not effective against rifles
• Level II: Effective against 9mm and .357 magnum ammunition from short barrel handguns. Not effective against rifles.
• Level IIIA: Effective against .357 and .44 magnum ammunition from long barrel handguns. Not effective against rifles

Rifle Calibers

• Level III: Effective against 7.62 FMJ core ammunition.
• Level IV: Effective against .30cal steel for armor piercing rounds
