There were unreal expectations on both sides, and no enough data points to formulate a real opinion on him,
I think early on with no film, he caught a couple teams slippin (tcu and Nebraska) and ball bounced his way at asu(late mess up by cb in coverage allowed an open man for a big gain). I think opinions on his coaching will have to wait, because he’s actually having to coach now, and he’s learning it’s a difference.
Shoo’n away all the Colorado kids, and trying to portal good kids and depth, has netted them a couple wins, but it’s not working as an experiment, the two spots that still plague his coaching tenure is line play, and as i keep saying it’s a mentality when it comes to there, it’s also a chemistry thing too (i think he should have kept more of the line, and just try to mold them.
He has to get better at late game adjustments, and still waiting for this D to take on his swagger and nose for the ball. Also gotta stop throwing kids under the bus
