Colorado should do great in the portal. They got two things all players want. Media attention and lots of opportunity for playing time. These guys want to be seen. for better or worse they will get it there more than most places. Look at how the media is talking about decomits from average to below average players.

Deion sold JSU on winning and swag and excellence etc…gonna be hard to sell that on a dogshyt team gettin embarrassed. By his own logic, why would I go to (stay at) Colorado and struggle when I can do what you told me go win and play with winners

What I said before the season….

Oneil is a 3 star is was Lewis QB and the other two are 2025 commits. They also don’t need running backs and his decommit doesn’t hurt them. Just say you don’t know college ball and keep it moving.

this is a guy they’re working on and he just posted this. Players are still interested but no one will make quick decisions until they see CU moves. I don’t blame them.

The portal doesn’t open until Dec 4th they’ve never NOT taken any HS players in a recruitment class ..but they clearly haven’t been relying on those players the past two years to drive their actual on the field winning as I mentioned.

Why are you doing all of this back and forth when the facts of the on field product are clearly indisputable this season. I don’t really get your whole angle of fact denying at this point.

He’s been hurt. He hasn’t played in weeks. FSU has used the portal well, but really the turnaround started LAST year when we didn’t have guys like Keon Coleman or Jaheim Bell. Norvell was able to win ten games with guys like Pokey Wilson at WR. In turn, he was able to leverage his on the field success from last season (i.e., winning) to attract guys like Coleman this season. Norvell and his staff also struggled to make recruiting in roads in the state his first few seasons, but now that we’re winning, we have top three HS recruiting class. They will be a lot more judicious about using the portal going forward in my opinion. The goal for a team in FL will always be to secure the top FL/GA HS talent, which we’re doing now.

FSU had a top 10 transfer class that year as well….I’m fact they took nearly as many transfers (14) as they did HS kids (17) leading up to the 2022 season It just is what it is fellas

My initial argument was that Colorado is not going to ever win more than 8 games without taking any HS players while only relying on the portal to fill the roster, and then you cited FSU as a counter example (a valid one as you correctly pointed out their main contributors the past 2 years are from the portal) and now you've just mentioned "they’ve never NOT taken any HS players in a recruitment class"

The point is they've always used HS recruiting AND the portal to build their roster. With HS recruiting to fill the base and the portal to get the impact players to push them over the top. They aren't relying on the portal to fill their entire roster like Deion is trying to do.

Prime isn’t really respected as a head coach yet IMO, therefore I highly doubt the white coaching/football community took the demotion seriously.
