who’s playing in their starting lineup ….it ain’t their HS kids

Without the depth, full of players recruited from HS, they would not be 12-0.

Teams need depth to be competitive (Getting to about 8 wins). The portal can push teams that would otherwise be 8/9 win teams to 11/12 win teams. Like FSU.

A 4 win team built solely off the portal is not going to become a 8/9 win team just by hitting the portal up. Plus they got to make up for guys they lose in the portal too.

The portal is great when used right, and is a must in today's college football landscape, but it has its limits.

I also want to add that once he made all these strange hires at the OC and DC positions instead of looking for or bringing up folks who were ready for the opportunity. I was skeptical. That Stanford game killed the spirit.

The irony is this year was the strongest the PAC12 has ever been and its last season to boot.

FSU is currently undefeated with that approach it’s not 1992 anymore

They didn't use "that approach"

They have a roster compromised mostly of HS recruits and then hit the portal hard (and did an excellent job at it) to get difference makers at key positions.

They didn't build their entire roster from the portal only.

15 of the 22 starters from FSU are transfer students they were a 5 win team two season ago …they addressed that by hitting the portal hard back to back years …they are where they are right now directly because of the portal …it’s not really something to argue …those are just the facts
