Ferentz ain’t the architect
He's trash as a coach, he wasn't just a disgrace as an OC. That OL was not at all his doing. On top of that, he, his father, and especially his mother was wildly racist. The idea of him coaching under Deion and among all that negritude is comedy. Also, the offensive line coach of the year award is some absolute bullshyt. If you actually knew the inside scoop on the Joe Moore award, it would become abundantly clear It has only been in existence since 2015. The year Iowa's OL got that award they led the Big 10 in sacks allowed and went 8-5 - not much of a resume to brag about. They had two thousand yard rushers that season, in part because of the OL and in part because both of those dudes were legit RBs (especially Akrum Wadley).
The Joe Moore award was created behind the push of a dude named Aaron Taylor, who played for Moore at Notre Dame. Iowa's strength coach (that hideous scumbag racist Doyle) and head coach (Kirk Ferentz) were both graduate assistants under Moore (at ND and at Pitt) and are thus closely connected to both Moore and Taylor via network. Aaron Taylor is close with Doyle. The award was all about personal interest. The next year the award went to Notre Dame, which again has everything to do with Taylor's and Moore's connections to the institution/people. Since then, the award has been more on the up and up. That award was a favor for Ferentz and Doyle, and goes on Kirk's son's resume forever, stamping him as a good coach, when in fact he' a totally inept bozo.
