You might have a faulty unit, weak router, or interference brah. My shyt works from an entirely different room.

You wireless router operates on different spectrums. The signal is broadcast by different channels, and sometimes they overlap with other devices (especially if you're living in an apartment or close to neighbors with strong signals). You can search your route and see about changing what channel is being used. Other components might also be interfering, especially if you have a TV with WiFi connection (but this is much more rare). It's probably a faulty unit.
