ok. I've done a lot of research... but what does this or Roku do that my Xbox360 + laptop setup already doesn't?

also forgot to mention that Chromecast doesn't require your computer to be on as far as your music (if you use Google Music) goes. It'll play shyt right off the cloud

Well Google Music only plays from your phone or tablet app. So it wont play native from a laptop or desktop, but i'm sure they're working on that.

But it's cool b/c if you have a party or have ppl over, you can make a playlist and control it straight from your phone all night.

Yeah ive done a little bit with first row on my chromecast. Stream quality was eh but I gotta work with what I got.

It streams supported applications like Netflix, hulu, from your tablet and computer while allowing you to run those apps in the background while you do other things with your device

However, where this thing is REALLY nice is the fact it lets you stream any video stream from Chrome. This means anything you stream on your pc in a web browser it would output to your tv. So..in my case, given I cut cable off, I have to go online for streams of boxing. Now, I can just stream straight from chrome to my tv.

Sound as well?
