You're crazy, a lot of people are already doing it. You're just reacting to the word indiana lol

My aunt just got something built from the ground up in Dyer. She’s about 45 minutes from downtown Chicago. 30 minutes from Orland Park. The Indiana I remember as a child was either dirty or farmland. It’s a whole new world out there now.

It's a little far, but super safe and closer to more retail. U can definitely bike that area tho
Id probably rather live in oak park or Evanston instead of Beverly. Beverly is definitely nice but seems very family oriented and driving seems to be a must. Beautiful homes there no doubt… oak park is my first choice for a suburb… so close to the city. Train takes you right there.

would yall live in south shore or Washington park? they got some rehabbed units looking nice... I only worry about the crime tho. i used to live in Bronzeville...I'm looking to buy

My family was originally from Washington Park. Our family property is still there that we’ve been renting out since the 70’s. Our family church is in Washington Park and is the largest property owner in the neighborhood. I was on the board of its redevelopment corporation. That said, I wouldn’t move to Washington Park at the moment. South Shore has more upside considering the Obama Library and the merging of South Shore and Jackson Park Golf Courses. I would stay above 71st street though.

I need some advice brehs cause I’m clueless on this situation

The 2016 Kia clunked out…the cylinder fukked up causing oil and fuel to get all up in the engine and it’s a goner….mechanic saying it’s a lost cause and if I wanted to keep it that would run me like 7 grand….and i don’t think I wanna do that.

I got my car loan through credit union so I don’t know how rolling the loan over until a new car would work.

What y’all recommend? Just getting something new and having to pay off two loans? Trying to sell it although I know I’m not getting 10 grand back for it

I’d try to sell it…get as much as possible for it. I’m sure your credit union will have more details on how to go about it

The new thing these idiot drivers do is pull up in the left turn lane pretending to turn, then when the left arrow or main light turns green, they speed off and go straight....to get ahead of the traffic.

Well yesterday some fool tried that going south on Halsted and got hit by a truck going in the other direction (the truck was still in the act of crossing the intersection after the light changed).

Right in front on Harold's on 127th

no I don't like it. it's by the worst part of the city (south east side) and it's not walkable or bikeable like the city. no public transportation, and they don't have nearly the selection of restaurant options.

I don't have kids in my household, so evanston and oak park are out. the taxes in either will kill you if u don't have kids going to those schools. my parents live in oak park.

I wonder if they are ever going to start building on that Route 41 bypass that goes along the lake from 79th to like 90-something. My assumption was that was the plan until COVID hit. That entire stretch is wide open.

they already re-did the road and the bike lanes over there. and u have calumet beach over on 95th, which is actually really nice.

If any of y’all find the new Dr Pepper Dark Berry (not the Zero kind) at any stores let me know. shyt if y’all go ahead and grab it I’ll slide on you and hit you back for it.

I let my momma taste one that someone gave me last month. She had some health issues with her dementia and was in the hospital for a couple weeks. She just came home and said she was craving that Dark Berry the whole time. She been driving me crazy for that shyt.
