Saturday night in da Chi:

16 year old shot and killed at Millennium Park this evening. Cops forming a human wall downtown, just saw this shyt on Fox 32.

Man it ain’t even summa yet…

fukking ridiculous. I don't wanna be ANYWHERE where a bunch of teens and young twenty something year olds are congregating. nothing good can come of this.

gas prices are high as fukk right now, so maybe they won't be able to move around as freely due to this. but that just means they'll end up congregating in the neighborhood instead.

no young folks like that on my block at least :whew:

Oh look the classic traditional open a decent store in the hood cause the city shovels you a bunch of backdoor tax breaks/money to construct than close after 6 fukking years

https://wgntv.com/news/chicago-news...glewood-location-after-less-than-6-years/amp/

Im sure that Starbucks and chipotle will follow suit also and close

this fukking sucks.

but lucky for me, there's a chipotle and starbucks within walking distance on 87th street.

englewood chipotle had good service and wasn't really ever super crowded.

they need to get another big name store to take over for that whole foods. all that hoopla that was raised when that whole foods first opened all went away. I'm guessing the new whole foods in hyde park canibalized the one in englewood, cuz those folks ain't coming out to 63rd street when they got another one in their own back yard.
