Agreed. Alls I'm saying is that he knew he was already skating on this ice as it was and he knew she really didn't care for him anyway.
You know how it is when you have a boss who doesn't like you, especially an woman. Can't given them any reason to get you. They're just licking their chops waiting for you to screw up. Just like being a team coach and new management/ownership takes over.
I'm not defending Lightfoot in the least. I'm only chiding Johnson because he should have been more responsible and aware from the jump. Dude got too comfortable in his position.
Man Lightfoot cool with me, Johnson was on thin ice the day she got elected. Getting caught sleeping one off on the side of the road was him digging his own grave. They need to pull someone from outside CPD. Had a drink him at the Marriott in London the weekend of the Bears game a month ago, he was just hoping to hang on until he vested and could retire. He did an ok job, his time was over, let's see what the next guy does.

It was a gang of chicago folks in London that weekend. We clicked up with or at least spoke to any other black chicagoans we saw.lol.
We happened to pass him and his wife in the lobby, then we went into the Marriott-club lounge to chill. A little later my boy heard him trying to get into the lounge and getting denied. My guy has elite status (travels for work), so he went over and got him in.too, Our two groups were the only black folks in the lounge, and we were all 4,000 miles from home, so we small talked for a little while then he went and sat w his people. I'm assuming he had been been getting stopped by people to talk all day. Sorry, this content is not available in your region.
We get home, and a week later they find him snoring in his car, and i knew my "looked out for the chief of police" card was dead.

lightfoot smarter than ppl give her credit for. you HAVE to have an outsider in that position - anyone from Chicago, Black or White, will be working on behalf of the white/Irish faction. You bring in an outsider and that person OWES their job and loyalty to you and you only.
