They got that on the last strike already if im correct. They agreed to pay teachers an avg salary of $100k by end of 2021 or something. This strike is for less students per class and more school nurses. The average CPS HS class is 22, and these teachers want like 16-18.

This would increase the CPS budget by 40% and the city is already broke as fukk.

From September of 2017 - November of 2018 they kept emailing me about continuing the process but I ignored the emails.

Yeah this Mexican dude I use to work in the union with just got called up, he’s in the academy right now . They test like every 8-10 years so if you don’t get called up in that testing cycle it’s over with cuz you probably aged out

He had CPS preference + military preference so his number was really high. Fire & police weren’t effected by the hiring freeze cuz that’s public safety.

yea they sent me something early spring asking for my diploma from cps. Haven’t heard anything since. I’m not tripping I only want to join cause Firefighters literally don’t do shyt and got flexible ass schedules. Hell look at the UFC HW champ. He’s a full time firefighter and still has time to train
