With the coming Obama library, that side of the city will begin to see a uptick in tourism..

Black people from across the nation and world will be visiting that library. Now is the time for blacks to begin putting together an economic plan on how to take advantage of this opportunity thats coming..

Man, Lightfoot needs a foot in her ass (politically speaking) for even suggesting those areas.

If she's willing to spend hundreds of millions for development in the south/west sides, maybe consider a business whose economic model isn't at least partly based on the extraction of money from people who don't have any.

If the casino isn't going to be downtown, it will be pointless.

Casinos only make sense financially if you're taking money from tourists and/or those with disposable income. And most tourists will not travel outside of the Loop. People here for one or two days on a business trip or convention are even less likely to do so.

Did you check out McKinley Park? There aren't that many apartments there but I feel like it's a better deal than what you'd find in Pilsen and Bridgeport (not to mention less racist than Bridgeport).
