Went for drinks after work yesterday and a friend of a coworker from Michigan asked me do I prefer Old Town or New Town? I’m like wtf is New Town? 
They were like New Town, the neighborhood.
I was like bro, there is no New Town.
He was like I assure you that there is. It’s right next to Old Town
I told this new nikka that I grew up here and that it wasn’t. I live in LP on the northern border of Old Town, and the Gold Coast and RiNo neighborhoods border the south.
He was like aight, playa.
This shyt bothered me because I was like why would he pull that out his ass? I went to do a little research and do you know, realtors are renaming the Cabrini area New Town?
Them new white folks ain’t trying to tell people they live in Cabrini, yet ain’t have no problem gentrifying that shyt.

Realtors slick as fuk the way they rename neighborhoods to sell properties. They call parts of Little Village “West Pilsen”
