jesus but roadtrips can be fun I guess, also can be cheaper, is the route to Denver hard? or just long?

If you do even the most minor planning ahead, Denver flights are $50 - $75 on southwest at all times.
In fact there is no reason to ever drive to Denver or Dallas from chicago cause that's regular price on Southwest if you book a month ahead.
In fact if you're going anywhere near Dallas it makes more sense to fly to dallas and just rent a car to drive to OKC or San antonio lol (done both)

Also, if you a laid back Breh Denver is a great city, got mountains, shopping, good food, legal trees, and you can go for a weekend for $100 !?
Don't sleep.

I just moved out here and stay in the west loop.

What is there to do in the summer tired of hitting the same spots (revery drinkhaus subT etc)

Honestly, if you've ran through all the spots in the west loop already then wow. You said subT so you already know about wicker park, then theirs all the spots in Linkin park, and the spots in streeterville, and Rush street to hit up. If you want to come south, there are a a TON of new spots in the south loop, and spots in hyde park to hit up for drinks and parties.

Summertime Chi is never lacking for spots to hang out It's rare I kick it at the same bar more than once during these months. We hit happy hour at a different place a couple times a week during the summer without having to leave downtown or the west/south loop.

Worse, Humboldt Park in the process of gentrification. Don’t get me wrong it’s still hot over there but a lot of people who been there for years getting pushed out.

Lot of yuppies moving in, pushing rents up. Only upside to it is theres a lot more police presence

Most stable Hispanic hood would probably be Marquette park/Chicago Lawn or Pilsen little village

I think Pilson is even heavier with the gentrification shyt but its definitely better community to move to since Humboldt Park is wild as hell.

@Romell It’s for the steel plant out there ArcelorMittal. I ain’t know Mexicans was so deep in Hammond and East Chicago.
Cool, I have fam and some friends from high school there. If you don't want to commute from Chicago, then Hammond will be cool then. And yep, most of if not all of the Mexicans and Puerto Ricans in NW Indiana are from them parts.

Yup, they moved into a lot of white neighborhoods coming over from the east side of Chicago. I never thought polish/white folks would give up Hegewisch but it’s almost half Mexican now. It seems to have leveled out now, and instead they’re moving over the Indiana border to whiting and Hammond
