that kind of abduction risk goes through the roof when your body can't absorb the same force it puts out :dead: there wasn't even any real torque involved in here either

i think you're dismissing what the video is actually saying because dude didn't hyper emphasize strength/mass/balance/etc's part in all this. that's how these things get prevented or at the very least mitigated or reduced in severity. if that's all it took, he's lucky it was foot and not his hip tbh

Once again, it’s the effect not the cause. He has no core strength and no leg strength, which is why a half-speed Lebron drive knocked him completely off balance and created an awkward landing. On top of that, he has no leg muscles to help absorb the shock. His foot was forced to take all of the weight.

Man we have a video with a literal doctor explaining the injury and at no point did he mention Chet's weight as a cause of the injury. You would think that would be something he stressed.

If you look at basketball players who had this same injury he's the only one with that type of frame. Udonis Haslem injured his Lizfranc and he's not rail thin.

Y'all need to leave this to the experts. You're just going of confirmation bias.

I don’t think anyone is surprised. Dude looks like he’s gonna hurt himself just by breathing.

Once again, looking at the effect and not the cause. The fact he couldn’t brace himself or control his body after trying to run in front of Lebron was what led to his injury. He has zero core or leg strength. The injury could have happened to anyone, but his body was time bomb in the NBA due to size, speed and strength every possession.

If you think his body is/was fine for NBA basketball after watching him get taken out for the season on a half-hearted drive from Lebron, I have some beachfront property I’m looking to sell in Iowa.

It’s hard to sugar coat how much this changes his career outlook. He had an incredible toolset to be an impact player, missing out on this year of development is rough
