Players gonna continue to play Pro Am games and pick up games. It's part of practicing and getting better. They've been doing that for fukking ever, a lot of times without a crowd and cameras too.
It's not the first time someone will pick up an injury in the off season and won't be the last. It's unlucky but it happens.

You can't place these guys in bubble wrap and only let them loose during the regular season, you gotta work on your game during the off season but shyt happens sometimes :yeshrug:

I’d feel disrespected as a fan if I paid for season tickets to see Chet grow as a player and he get hurt in an offseason pro am. Hopefully NBA players playing in those are now dead. Guys can’t play 82 games anymore and rookies are sitting summer league after 2 games.
shut this weak ass shyt up
only difference between pro-am and closed gym runs nba players do ALL SUMMER LONG is the spectacle and fans.
they all play at half speed, aint nobody hustling, nobody going for boards(not the nba players)
literally every nba player you can think of runs low intensity 5 on 5 ball in the off season....just to keep in shape and work on stuff in their games within structure of a game

Like I said earlier, some events are sanctioned by the NBA (meaning if you play in them, they can't punish you even if they'd rather you not play there). The Seattle pro-ams probably qualify as that. That gym though whether it contributed to his injury or not is never gonna be cleared again.

Pro am or pre season he was gonna get injured. People been saying his body ain’t built for the long haul

If he’s that brittle then he should’ve been in OKC on their courts and getting stronger, not on Jamal Crawford’s court with no AC. This is unfair to their fans. Very preventable

If my point is weak, then why are those players so tired and load managing come Feb and March? Load managing the summer league?

them playing a low intensity glorified pick up game once every 3 weeks is what exactly?
you talking like these guys in the drew league picking up guys 94 feet tryna put up westbrook numbers 6 days out the week
bro stop it. dudes get hurt training in the off season every single year. him getting hurt was only a matter of time.
