Anybody here tried Harold’s yet? I went there a couple days ago and while I did enjoy the food(the tea tasted like liquid sugar) I just don’t understand what they’re trying to do. They got people in there smoking hookah next to people just trying to eat their food. It’s basically a club vibe with chicken restaurant food. I hope they make it man but they’re all over the place in there lol.
I been to the one in Atlanta and it seems like a similar experience.

I tried it, but took my food to go. This was during the daytime, but definitely has a club/lounge vibe to it.

BOOM Charlotte 2023

BOOM-2023-banner-w.jpg

Announcing BOOM 2023!

BOOM is back! BOOM 2023 will be the 6th year of the annual arts festival. The festival will be back to its three-day run in 2023 at Camp North End (1824 Statesville Ave.). Save the dates of April 21-23 for a multifaceted art experience.
  • Friday, April 21 from 5:00pm to 10:00pm
  • Saturday, April 22, from 12:00pm to 10:00pm
  • Sunday, April 23, from 12:00pm to 8:00pm
The festival will be the usual mix of indoor and outdoor venues.
  • BOOM Fringe: original edgy/experimental art performed in intimate settings. It features ticketed performances created by the presenting artists in several small venues.
  • BOOM Intersection: a broad range of art performed on a central stage, plus interactive installations and activities – all free and open to the public. The Intersection is the epicenter of the festival. It becomes a location for artists, audiences, and community members to come together and enjoy live art in an outdoor living room.

Started by a group of Charlotte artists in 2016, the BOOM festival quickly grew into one of the largest, most diverse, multidisciplinary creative gatherings in Charlotte. Featuring all mediums from chalk art to classical music, from aerial dance to slam poetry, it became the unique coming together of the whole creative ecosystem of Charlotte.
After a 2-year break in 2020 and 21, we brought it back at a slightly smaller scale in April 2022. We are excited at the prospect of scaling it back up to its pre-pandemic size – and maybe bigger!

I’ve been a few times but not since like 2020. It’s a move if they pay homage to the different regions and time like they did in the past. I might mess with it.
